Design Your Own Side-edge Cards 😍 Cricut Design Space Tutorial

Hi, I’m Christina Dennis, the creative force behind DIY Mommy. Here are DIY and budget decorating ideas to brighten up your space. We create homes that bring us joy, one project at a time! 🌟This is my third and final article in a series on Image Search. In cricket, it is not called image search. Instead, it is done when you upload an image file to Cricut Design Space.

Taking an image you find and turning it into your own cutting, sewing, embossing, foiling or other project is one of the best things about owning an electronic cutting machine. I’m right But learning to do it takes some practice.

The way Cricut Design Space converts a flat image file into a multi-layer, multi-color cut file is a little different. There are good things and bad things about it.

One of the nice things is that the process is quite simple and forces you to make decisions about what goes into each cover as you decide. The program doesn’t just decide for you.

Cricut Access: What Is Cricut Access And Do I Need It?

One of the downsides is that you have to be a Cricket Access member ($10/month) to use the image upload feature to its full potential. If you are not an Access member, you can basically just upload the image of one color or you have previously dragged it into another program. Below I will go into details about the work.

For the purpose of this tutorial, I will assume that you are a member of Cricket Access. In this way, you can see the whole process and decide if you really need access to Cricket (if you are not already a member).

If you have full “access” (lol – see what I did there?), then upload it
