What does it look like? Here’s an example of a Chromebook Contract and iPromise iPad poster: on the left is a set of promises, and on the right are student fingerprints/signatures. How it works:
It’s that simple! In the templates linked above, I’ve done all the work for you. All you need to do is print and assemble the poster. Technology expectations/rules are already provided and cover things that might come up in the elementary classroom when working with devices. Of course, if you have a version of your expectations that you want to use, send me the order number and I can provide you with an editable version. After preparing the poster, it’s time to go over expectations with your students as a whole or in small groups. I always did this in small groups because the students seemed to pay more attention and it allowed us to have small discussions about various topics related to the use of technology.
Once you’ve met all of the expectations listed, ask students to give you a thumbs up if they agree to follow through on everything you’ve discussed. They then “commit” by adding a fingerprint using a colorful ink and putting their name above the fingerprint. Now you have a poster for the whole year.
Good question! I think it will be memorable for the kids. They remember to “swear” using a rainbow colored ink. Come onā¦ you know those ink pads are great š.

Using Quick Tech In Your Kindergarten Classroom
Teachers can use pre-made activities or create their own. Games are organized into folders by reading or math.

My Favorite Way To Cover Technology Expectations
Don’t have an iPad? You can play it individually on the computers or use a whole team using a computer and projector. Just click the answer on the computer or point to the answer on the board and you will click the computer for them.Ā 5. Virtual Field Trip: This tip was developed by one of my colleagues. He had a friend who was a firefighter, so his class jumped with him during fire safety week. He gave them their equipment, fire station, etc. it showed
And then, the most beautiful thing happened… the sirens went off! He kept jumping with them so they got on a fire truck! When the Skype conversation got too intense, they wrote him questions and he answered them. What an unforgettable experience and a fun way to use more technology in the classroom!! 6. BrainPop: BrainPop Jr. – Paid subscription to short, animated, online videos on all topics. It meets most state standards and is a fun way to introduce new skills and concepts. Students love the characters and the videos teach in a very kid-friendly way.7. Remove the word clock: If you have a SmartBoard or Apple TV, your students will love the game below! You can drag a blackboard style app like Show Me. Students at the table need paper and pencils. Ā If you don’t have technology, you can do this activity in class by wiping the board.
Play: Type a word on the screen or app. Select the student as “graduate”. “Eraser” comes to the board and starts erasing the word. As they begin to fade, the children in the chair begin to write as many sight words as they can until the word is completely erased.
When the word is crossed out, students count how many times they wrote it. If you have more, get something special to write (marker, pen, highlighter). I do this until everyone in the class has a special writing tool. For more ideas, see 10 Ways to Practice Sight Words.

If you want to keep it simple and use plain tissue paper or tissue paper for your bulletin board, we recommend using gray and black. If you want to take your bulletin boards to the next level, you can place old CDs on a plain background to create a textured look.
