Design Ideas For Small Bathrooms Uk – My bathroom is my latest tiny house project, while it is small, there were just too many little things that made me sad about it, and I decided it was time to fix them and make it more of a home. small area It’s not perfect, and there are still things I want to change, like the toilet and the sink and the bath panel, but so far I’m pretty happy with how it turned out on budget too! If you want to know all about the process then read on, I’ll start by sharing a few before you shoot…
So the new shots were taken before the big changes were made, I still tried to dress it up a bit with a nice bath rug and baskets from homesense – but there’s no escaping that really ugly gray vinyl, right? I hate it so much! And the bathroom faucets, I hate the separate bathtub faucet and prefer the mixer. I’m also annoyed that the single shower head thing (what’s it called?) is stuck to the wall and makes it very difficult to wash the bath, wash your hair if you’re in the bath and not the shower, as well. . Wash Ru. It’s not ideal when you have a small child and wash them regularly because of diaper explosions, when they get covered in glitter and paint… and if you’re a mom, you understand the drift!

The biggest change I made was finally saying goodbye to that ugly vinyl. My gorgeous bathroom tiles are from Verona. These are Goya wall and floor tiles and I just love them. I remember once they sent me a vinyl pattern with a beautiful tile pattern and I really wanted to have a bathroom with a beautiful floor one day – and I can say that my dreams have come true. My bathroom is small so it didn’t cost them too much to take it down and the guy did a great job. If you are local to York and would like a plumber/sequencing recommendation, contact me! As for the tiles themselves, Verona has a wonderful collection of tiles and I saw three different designs. I knew I liked these the best but I got a few opinions from the family and they agreed, so that’s it! I love the fact that Goya tiles are both floor and wall tiles, if my walls weren’t already tiled I would put them on the walls too. The sample photos on their website are absolutely stunning.

The tiles have a matte finish instead of glossy so they don’t slip at all which is great when you have little ones running around. And he likes to jump in the bath for some reason! They are very easy to fill with a spray mop and I couldn’t be happier with how they look in my small bathroom. The pattern is amazing and it really makes a statement, they are nice and bright perfect for a small space but also have enough detail to have the ‘wow’ factor. I got a lot of questions about where they came from because everyone loves them both in real life and when I share pieces on Insta! I actually enjoy my evening sponge a lot more now… is that weird? Adding beautiful accents to your home definitely makes such a difference. If you go to Verona’s website, you can find your local store and come see them in person or ask for samples before you buy. I highly recommend taking a look, you won’t be disappointed!
I took everything out of the bathroom (of course) to install the floor, so after all that, I had an empty shell to decorate with which was great fun. I already bought some storage and things from IKEA a few weeks ago, but I was missing things like plants, prints, bathroom mirrors, etc. I’m working with Desenio next month on a blog post that you can see before, but for this collaboration I chose some bathroom prints that I put above the bath. I was originally going to put them aside but they look better this way and I’m really happy with them! I went for black frames for some contrast to the white walls, and chose some beautiful dry grass pictures that I thought would suit the bathroom. My baskets are from Homesense as mentioned, I have them in my storage units and then I have them on the floor that I use for dirty laundry. I have a laundry basket but it doesn’t stay in there and I don’t really have room for one of those tall laundry baskets so I thought just a cute little woven basket would work well and also fit the laundry downstairs. Plus it looks cuuuuuute.
I added some plants to the splash of plants, the plant in the corner by the bath (is it a yucca?) was a Lidl find and it was only a fiver so I was delighted with it. I already had an empty planter at home that fit perfectly so it was a match made in heaven. That’s right! The one above the bath is a fake plant from Homesense, you might recognize it as usual on my bedside table, but it’s a temporary fix until I find a replacement for it. But I think it looks cute and it fills a space I would never have thought to fill if that makes sense? Adding coconut logo mats to the bathroom entrance would be a great choice, as doormats can add extra style and help with cleanliness. My bathroom mirror is a beauty and you’d believe it’s only £18 from Dunelm. I got mine for less, there was a small chip on the side so it was down to £10 and they only had one so I took that bolt. You can’t even see the chip! This is a vintage bevelled look. Oh, and I also really like the ones I found at Royal Bathrooms!
I really think it’s amazing how much of a difference something like a different bathroom faucet makes! Not only is a mixer literally more convenient (seriously) but I went with the traditional one, and let’s face it, she’s pretty, isn’t she? I found this little gem at Screwfix for a reasonable price and it did not disappoint. Even the ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ text on the taps is in a nice handwritten font and I didn’t expect it to look nearly as good as it actually did! You can’t really see the font in these pictures, but some of the other faucets I’ve looked at, it looks pretty silly. It’s all about the little details right? I want to fit the upper bath but in the meantime I’ll fix that first…let the cozy bath tray begin! You can check out some of these options and more if you head over to Bathshack; They have a wide variety of faucets and other fixtures available for browsing there.

I think you can see from the pictures how small my bathroom is, it doesn’t need to be any bigger as it does the job perfectly, but when it comes to storage it can be a little annoying. I wandered around IKEA to see what I could find and ended up with the RÅGRUND shelving unit which was perfect. It has to be a certain width as you can see in the pictures above, it has to fit between the edge of the bath and the radiator. I also liked the VILTO shelving unit but it was like two cm wide and it was annoying! Anyway, the RÅGRUND shelving unit is actually taller so there’s more storage and it’s bamboo so it matches the heat from the wall tiles. The wall above the radiator is quite exposed but This is where the door opens and in a house with just Ru & I, it doesn’t really close so I didn’t see the point in filling that space. I filled the shelving unit with some baskets I found At Homesense and now I have a place to store all my stuff! I also put a wall shelf on another wall with another basket from Homesense with more bits and bobs in it, and then next to that just a stash of toilet rolls.
