Ideas For Home Decoration Living Room – Not sure how to decorate your open living room? I’ve been there! Today I’m excited to partner with The Home Depot to share living room decorating ideas to create a space you’ll love. Whether you’re looking to design your own media console, fill an empty corner, or add coziness to your space, I hope these tips help you.

When we moved into our new home five years ago, I was grateful to have a large living room at the center of our home. But it also gave us problems, as we shall see every day. I wanted it to be beautiful and functional, but I didn’t know how to take care of all the empty space! Additionally, our TV and media must be front and center, which is a common design problem. After years of working on this room, I recently accomplished some of my long-term goals!

Here are some pictures of this spring living room. I have been working in this field for years, and there is a lot to like! But also things that need to be worked on.

Freshen Up Your Living Room Decor With The Home Depot

I’m a newbie when it comes to home DIY projects involving power tools. However, after having several friends install their own designs, I wanted to give it a try. I decided to go with graphic design because it’s a classic style and easy to install.

I’ll share an in-depth post on how I put the wall design together next week, but I’d love to see a list of the products I used if you’re up for tackling the project! Home Depot had everything I needed to transform my space and bring my vision to life.

Once the wall was trimmed I was ready to work on my decor. Here are ideas for decorating your guest house to enhance your space with a piece of history.

In my opinion, this is the best way to fill an empty corner in your room. We previously had an olive tree, so I decided to switch things up with this beautiful fake cherry tree. The texture and movement it adds is great!

Surrounded by white furniture, a coffee table made of light wood did not go. I wanted more contrast! This walnut coffee table warms up the living room, and the swivel legs add a sculptural element. It also came fully assembled, which is always a plus for me.

I added this antique brass table next to our couch. It’s taller than the table we used before which is an update, and the metal adds contrast to the space. Changing out an accent table is a great way to change the look of your living room without replacing a large piece of furniture!

Building a wall made a huge difference, but I still wanted to find a way to fill the space to the left of our media. We have a hallway on the main level of our home and I thought this 71″ x 32″ mirror was the perfect compliment. My kids love making faces in it too 😉 The mirror reflects our gallery wall perfectly! Not satisfied with this view.

Once you’ve chosen your statement pieces and filled in the empty corners, it’s time to think about accents. They’re great for adding coziness and character with accents, and Home Depot has a great selection!

I like to keep my coffee table decor basic with a large vase and a selection of coffee table books. The shape of this ceramic pot vase is great and won’t fall over if my kids bump it on the table. Have you noticed that I can’t kill my mother’s brain?

For the media, I decided to switch things up with a bigger light. I have been eyeing this great rattan table lamp for months and am excited to add it to our space! Pair it with this empire shade for a vintage look. A gray planter and charcoal tub fill the space below the TV, and I love this wood chain accent. Finally, these decorative boxes are perfect for remotes.

Is there a more fun home decor item to shop for than pillows? I love the texture of tasseled pillows, and this classic plaid. This knotted blanket is perfect for behind our ears, and it also helps keep it clean as our kitchen takes a break!

I finished off the left side of the living room with a large basket to throw the extras. Cute baskets are my favorite ways to hide toys, slippers, and pills around our house. You can also try combining two different baskets for a stacked look.
