Design Ideas For Quilts – Are you a fat quarter collector? I love chunky supplies and tend to stock up on them when I visit my local quilt shops. This special package from my favorite quilt shop, Crimson Tate, was too cute to pass up. I love the colors and pirate themes in the prints.

There were 10 fat quarters in the package and I struggled to find a pattern that would use them all efficiently (in other words, one that required me to cut a small square out of a fat quarter and leave the rest. No need to leave as waste!) . So I decided to come up with a pattern that basically uses each entire FQ, leaving minimal notes. Meet the quarter fat mixer.
