Now that I am becoming the cricket master of the universe, I thought of creating a little something in the cricket design space.
, my Cricut Maker cut it out of iron-on vinyl, and then I use my latest Cricut EasyPress 2 to transfer the design to a pillow case.

So even though I’m on my way to being the cricket master of the universe, I’m still there
EasyPress 2 for ironing or anything else! A regular cotton processing iron will do the same. EasyPress 2 is very simple. It has a larger footprint than an iron, and it heats up quickly and evenly and accurately maintains any temperature you set, up to 400 degrees.
You will need a Cricut Maker or other cutting machine. At the end of the post we provide these free cut files for you to download.

After uploading a suitable SVG design to Cricut Design Space™ that sums up a part of my life, I paired my iPad with my Cricut Maker via Bluetooth.
Next, I put an iron-on vinyl over the rug (shiny vinyl, mind you – this will be my baby’s pillow, I want it.
After toggling the “reverse image” button, I ordered my Maker MAKE! Reversing the image is very important when iron-on words and letters on vinyl.
When the cutting was done, I peeled the carpet off the vinyl. One of the first tricks I learned was not to peel your material off the mat, but to peel the material off the mat. It makes a big difference!

I then cast the design onto the iron, leaving only the heart and letters on the plastic backing.
I adjusted the temperature to 290 degrees. EasyPress heats up in 2 minutes.
I placed the pillowcase on top of the Cricut EasyPress mat and then held the EasyPress 2 over the pillowcase for about 5 seconds. This gave me a smooth, wrinkle free surface for the vinyl iron on.
I then placed the EasyPress 2 on the vinyl and pressed for 15 seconds. It has a timer that makes this process very quick.

After the 15 seconds were up, I flipped the vinyl over the pillowcase and iron and pressed with the EasyPress 2 for another 15 seconds.
For those who use irons and ironing boards, make sure to cover them with a sheet of vinyl before ironing. Press the iron onto the vinyl for 20-30 seconds, then lift the iron before moving the vinyl to a new location. Overlap to ensure full adhesion.
The process was very easy! I see lots of new pillows for Handon and Barishta shirts in our future!
Instead of adding a new cushion to the pile in the family room, I decided to give this one pride of place in my office.

I literally made this Disney SVG file to draw on my trip to Disney World, ie on my flight there.
I thought it was a subtle design that worked great for this job, and I’m glad it’s a one-color design that you can easily cut in less than 10 minutes.
All you need is HTV or heat transfer vinyl and white iron-on vinyl, also known as colored shirt.
My favorite t-shirts to iron on vinyl are Bella + Canvas. They are very soft, and you can find them in many colors at Michael’s.
