Designs For Paper Mache Vase – I’m so excited to post these DIY Crow Pumpkin paper cups because 1) they turned out so cute and 2) they’re so easy for kids to make. Also, this Halloween inspired boat is the first Halloween decor I’ve done that matches my everyday style. Usually my Halloween decorations are the coolest and the most fun at parties – aka. kid-friendly (like DIY Cheesecloth Ghost Garland or DIY Flying Decoupage Bts). So I usually do Halloween decorations in the last week of October or just for a party. However, these dark colored vegetables / pumpkins are more pretty than pretty and can last until November. I think they celebrate the dark side of autumn. As you can see from my style, they look great with fall classics like brass candle holders and white baby boo pumpkins. And actually, I think they’re calling for it to be used for the table, so I might have to do it this week.
As for the process, the main things to buy are paper pumpkins (at Joann Fabrics for less than $5 with a coupon or purchase) and a small plastic crow (at Party City for $2 or Walmart for $3). Other items you may have (such as newspapers and flour) are listed below with the tutorial. As for the pumpkins, Joann Fabric’s has two sizes (short and tall), but if you don’t have a paper pumpkin, you can use any plastic pumpkin that is available. available at all stores including Target and Walmart. However, if you are using a plastic pumpkin, you will want to secure the paper to the plastic so that your final project does not look like this. This means you can use any faux pumpkin that is hollow; however, plastic pumpkins do a slightly better job than paper.

Make a touch out of papier-mâché. I mixed 1 part flour and 1 part water, but you can also use glue and others cook their own flour/water mixture. Use your preferred method. I started with 1/2 cup of flour, you don’t need much.
How To Make A Fabric Bowl With Mod Podge
Paper to make a crow. Remove the crow’s feet and then the crow’s feet. You simply dip a piece of newspaper into the flour and water mixture and remove most of the residue with your fingers. Then wrap newspaper (feathers and all) around the crow. Continue this process until the crow is covered in newspaper. Once the nail is covered, allow it to dry completely. Once dry, add another layer of paper mache if needed. I found that I missed a few places and the tail needed some layers to make it stronger and stronger. You’ll want to make sure your wallpaper is completely dry between adding a new layer to prevent mold.
Cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin. Use a pencil to mark a circle around the top of the pumpkin to make a hole. Use the Xacto knife to cut the pumpkin.
(Note: If you are using a plastic pumpkin, make sure you make the pumpkin out of paper before moving on to the next step. Follow the same process as folding.)
Connect the crow to the pumpkin. Use a glue gun to attach the paper pumpkin to the pumpkin. It’s your choice, but it’s best to stick it close to the edge of the pumpkin hole.

Final adjustments and paperwork. To make sure the pumpkin is firmly attached, place the paper where the pumpkin meets the pumpkin. You also cut the end of the pumpkin hole with paper to get a smooth surface. If you want to put the top as a “cover”, make sure to finish the bottom with paper.
Clean the pumpkin/squash thoroughly. Be sure to clean the pumpkin and pumpkin thoroughly to remove any rough material before painting.
Color the details of the crow. Using white paint, paint a circle around the two eyes of the crow. Blend with a brush or wet paper towel so that only a sharp white/grey line blends in with the black. Paint the mouth lightly and remove excess paint with a brush or wet paper towel. You may need to add more black until you get the look you want.
Add flowers. If you are using real flowers, be sure to attach a small glass to the pumpkin to hold the water. Here I used a mixture of real eucalyptus leaves, artificial dahlias, dried straws and dried brick balls. A good source for artificial flowers is your local florist or Afloral is a great online resource for dried and dried flowers.

In fact, the seventh grade girls learned about ancient Greece and I jumped at the chance to make some vases inspired by a black or red color and a historical story in the central image. In fact, the fiction was written in their general studies classes. It’s a good way to combine topics, isn’t it?
The “plan” started on paper after a long discussion about ancient Greek pottery and extensive Google image searches.

Next I created a vase using a large balloon, my favorite signature crafting recipe, recycled cardboard for the stand, shopping bottles and handles. After we finished we used spray paint on the bottle, details and history. It is important that you use good quality balloons as they may deflate quickly when the paper pieces dry. If this happens, you’re back to square one!

Add this mixture to a pan with 2 cups of boiling water and bring to a boil again. Remove from heat and mix in 3 tablespoons of sugar. Let cool and remember it will thicken as it cools. Once done, it is ready to use.
