Design And Technology Design Brief Examples – Students researched, analyzed, designed, produced and evaluated products suitable for sale at a local youth cafe. They studied the properties of the ingredients to develop a healthy product. They keep packaging and resource utilization in mind. Students presented a visual image to show how the product met the success criteria. They reflected on their ideas using a sentiment analysis and a written assessment. The design development process was documented.

The focus of this task was on the development and production of a product for the technological framework of food professionals.

Students describe how technology characteristics influence design solutions and influence design decisions for each of the given technology contexts.

Context, Task And Design Brief

Students create design solutions for any given technology context based on an assessment of needs or opportunities. You consider success criteria in terms of sustainability aspects and use them to evaluate the suitability of your ideas and designed solutions and processes. You will generate and adapt design ideas, make thoughtful decisions, and communicate with diverse audiences using appropriate terminology and a variety of graphic representation technologies and techniques. Students use project management skills to document project plans and use them to control production processes. You independently and safely develop effectively designed solutions for the intended purpose.

By the end of eighth grade, students will explain how social, ethical, technical and sustainability issues influence the design of innovative and business solutions to meet a range of current and future needs. They explain how the characteristics of technology influence design and production decisions. Students make a choice between different types of networks for specific purposes.

Students describe a series of needs, opportunities or problems and describe them in terms of functional requirements and constraints. They collect, validate and interpret data from various sources to make informed judgments. Students create and document in digital and non-digital format, design ideas for different target groups using appropriate technical terms and graphic representation techniques including algorithms. You independently and reliably plan, design, test, modify and create a range of digital solutions that meet the intended purpose, including user interfaces and the use of a programming language. You effectively plan, document and manage processes and resources to create tailored solutions for each of a given technology context. They develop criteria for success, including aspects of innovation and sustainability, and use these to evaluate the suitability of their ideas, solutions and processes. Students use it to collaborate and develop and communicate ideas, information, and solutions while in person and online.
