We considered including a number of celebrated years as part of the logo during the logo design phase. It is a simple and effective way to further communicate the company’s longevity. In the end, we – including the client – felt that the yearbook was obfuscating the message.

The anniversary logo was also an opportunity to expand the Fortune Brands brand identity, rather than diminishing it. It was therefore important to convey certain elements of the brand to maintain visual continuity.

As mentioned earlier, Fortune Brands expects to celebrate its anniversary during the month of October 2021. Several anniversary logo applications were planned. Submissions included a dedicated page on the company’s new website, a press release, a social media campaign, a commemorative video and giveaways such as T-shirts.
