Farmhouse Decor For Above Cabinets – Hello guys! I hope you have a wonderful week! I’m feeling all the fall vibes around our house and I’m in full decorating mode right now. After finishing the living room and dining room, I got into the kitchen this week to add some fall color to my decor. This year I decided to go with a more farmhouse look, so today I’m sharing some kitchen decor ideas that I hope you’ll enjoy!

This fall, my kitchen decor looks very different than last fall. I still chose a neutral palette (because that’s the kind of girl I am), but I used more classic fall colors.

I decided to go with a more subtle traditional fall color palette this year, as opposed to the neutral greens and whites I chose last fall. The result was a very warm look that definitely says fall colors without being too bold and bright.

I started with a simple trunk full of white mini pumpkins and faux white and gray pumpkins. It only takes a minute, but I love this simple fall decor idea because it makes a big impact on a center island or counter.

I also added a fall wreath made of dry hops to my kitchen hood. Adding wreaths to your fall and winter decor is a great idea to create a festive look and celebrate the upcoming holidays.

Redoing the glass front cabinets in my kitchen is a great way to signal the change of season. I replaced the white ones with copper pots and pans. I filled the batter bowl with some heirloom pumpkins I found at my local market.

I filled my favorite pitcher at Prep Island with beautiful faux fall branches. I love that it lasts all season and is always fresh! The best part is that they are very affordable.

Of course, I had to remove all the brassware and hang it on the counter. You may have noticed that my collection is growing as I have a bit of an obsession with beautiful vintage copperware. I love the idea of displaying them during the colder months and putting them away when the weather warms up.

I hung a simple wheat wreath in the window above the farm sink. This color inspired my farmhouse kitchen decor this year. I love the soft color, but it makes a big statement this time of year. I also filled a tall white bowl with wheat stalks and hung two tobacco baskets on the side windows.

With copper tones and soft wheat and orange tones mixed with natural woods, I was able to create an easy fall look that will last through Thanksgiving and beyond.

A few months ago I shared tips for a basic kitchen renovation without an upgrade, and today I have another easy way to help you fall in love with your kitchen. I decided to repaint the tops of our kitchen cabinets and I think you’ll be surprised at the difference!

If you need encouragement, remember that styling a new space usually takes more than one try. When decorating the tops of our kitchen cabinets, I drew up a design, lived with it for a few days, and then decided to make some changes. I’m very happy with the final look!

On the other hand, I wouldn’t use the exact same design for the tall cabinets from my kitchen, as stagnant cabinets can make the decor look cluttered without breaking up.
