And even if you think you have a lot of time to finish planning your child’s bedroom, But we are still very busy with other things. Another important thing is to make the ground floor look good. Because that’s where we spend most of our time. Now that the first level is mostly complete, we slowly start working on the second level. Before looking, we had to assess the situation and find a room for the girls. We chose this room in the house. And this was the room before I left:
Girls want to have a turquoise room. But this is not the correct shade of blue. We also wanted to remove the tan walls. So we ended up painting this room.
– We used the same colors in their room in Texas. And we already know we like it. Then we laid out the layout and decided to have two single beds instead of bunk beds. We were able to find a white bed at a great price at American Furniture Warehouse, just a few miles from our house. (A lot of the furniture is available online if you don’t live near the bed.) A small post between the beds is also from AFW, and the mobile desk and bookshelf can be found on Amazon. The last piece of furniture we received from IKEA was a chest of drawers.
After the furniture was nailed down we focused on the Decor. We have a gallery wall of beautiful Texas prints and signs and we added another in this room. Items are purchased everywhere and I’ve found everything from free printables found on Pinterest and even thrift markets to Etsy shops and Hobby Lobby. And they found the letters at Hobby Lobby. The cork and chicken wire cabinet were found at Hobby Lobby.
