Draw a triangle in the center of the card with a pencil. This triangle is just to help you figure out where to draw your banner.

Sketch your triangle and when you are happy with the placement, erase it a bit. Let’s say you want to make a very soft mark on a triangle.

Now that you know where the banner will be placed, draw it by drawing a continuous “S” shape. The triangle will help you determine the width of your banner.

50 Funny Birthday Card Ideas

Before you start drawing your banner, make sure it’s long enough to fit the holiday phrase you want to write inside.

Write “Merry everything and happy always” on this card. So this banner length is perfect for that quote.

Make the necessary changes to the banner. We recommend that you always attach the edges and sides of your banner before you begin to attach it.

Draw a V shape on each side of the banner to close it. Next, connect the “continuous S” shapes on both sides.

Very Merry Christmas Cards

You can use the micron pen 05 to trace the banner drawing or any other monoline black pen of your choice. Once you’ve outlined the doodles on your banner, erase the pencil marks.

Using Micron 08, I revisited the ribbon to make it look a little better.

To make your banner more beautiful, you can add details to the back of the banner where the calligraphy does not fit.

Lines joined together. You can also draw different details or color it completely, like I did with this Father’s Day DIY card.

Easy Diy Christmas Calligraphy Card

As I mentioned before, I wrote “Merry Everything and Happy Always” on the banner. Feel free to write any holiday words on this card.

Pro tip: Before you draw your banner, choose a quote to write on your DIY card. That way you know the length and width of your banner and first sketch the quote inside the banner with a pencil.

As you can see, the last word is not centered, so I added some decoration at the end. This is one reason why I recommend sketching everything first. It’s easy to adjust the spacing between the words on the ribbon when sketching with a pencil.

Three Christmas Card-making Ideas

I used Micron 01 to add small lines to the inside of the ribbon. Draw lines around the edges of the banner to make it a little more realistic.

Draw a star at the top of the banner. For this type of star, the diamonds must be placed next to each other until the star is formed.

To give it more dimension, add a line between each diamond and color every other space.

You can leave the card if you want. However, you can also add more details to your card. Add small stars around the banner using a jelly roll pen. You can use the same silver color pen for these details.

Draw small stars or dots around the banner. I think it gives it a little more pop and gives it a more festive, Christmas-y look.

This step isn’t necessary, but I think adding a shadow to the text makes it look more poppy. To add shading to your letter, use a micron pen to add lines to the right and bottom of all parts of the letter.

What do you think? I love the look of this card. The colors pop out of the kraft paper. And I love the combination of kraft paper and silver. It looks white in videos and photos, but it’s actually silver. The silver letters and details added with the Sakura Jelly Roll Pen go well together.

Send greetings from kids and the whole family by creating this photo card accented with a natural Spanish moss wreath.

How to make it: Cut black and white photos of your kids, pets, or the whole family into circles. Stick it to the front of a regular card. Make a wreath with hot-gluing Spanish moss around the picture. Hot glue the mini ribbon to the bottom of the garland. Add some ribbon and rick rack flair to the bottom of the card.

Directions: Cut a small round hole in the front of a plain greeting card. Glue the picture to the inside of the card, centered on the opening (if you want, you can glue a piece of paper in a matching color to the back of the picture for a nice finish). Use a light gray watercolor marker to draw a snowy path around the picture. Cut out trees, cars, and trucks from holiday-themed wrapping paper and glue them to the cards. Attach a short ribbon and additional wrapping paper decoration directly below the photo.

How To Use Tin Foil For Beautiful Christmas Cards

As soft as a new pair of Santa’s slippers, this card is fully realized with decorative button accents.

Directions: Cut a rectangle out of the white felt. Fold it in half to make a card. Cut a tree out of green felt and a star out of yellow felt. Glue it to the center of the front of the card. Cut out the letters (you can write the letters freehand or draw the letters with a pencil). Paste the text below the tree. Glue on colorful mini buttons to mimic jewels.

Directions: Draw branches on plain card using brown craft paint. Cut a bird shape out of red tissue paper and attach it to the card just above the branch, leaving enough space for the legs. Once dry, use a fine black marker to draw the legs, wings, eyes and beak. Adhere the ribbon to the folded edge of the card for added flourish.

Directions: Half a small craft cork. Draw using a black marker
