SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphics. SVG can also be called a digital cut file. In the DIY world, digital cut files (or SVGs) are commonly used on Silhouette and Cricut machines. They can also be used with veli Scanncut machines.
These files can be loaded into the appropriate design software that either comes with the machine and is used to cut designs on a variety of media including vinyl, paper, cardboard, heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and more.

Like Creative Fabrica, Design Bundles is another great site with a large free SVG library. There are many catalogs for SVGs, which in my opinion are the best free type. All free downloads and purchases have a commercial license.
While not every designer offers a commercial license with free SVG, almost every Etsy shop that sells SVG does. You can literally get a bunch of SVG on Etsy for money and you can make and sell whatever DIY projects you choose with them.
Many Etsy shop owners offer discount codes and subscriber benefits for joining their email list, so while you won’t get the design for free, you can come pretty close.
