Graduation Card Design Ideas – (Intro: We hope you enjoy your graduation with wonderful memories of the past and exciting dreams for the future.

My kids had quite a few graduation parties to attend this past spring/summer, so I created a few easy ones to copy.  Many of the graduates came from high schools where they used red and white, so I went with that color on most of the cards I made.

In addition to the graduates of their school, there are a few graduates from different schools, with different colors, so I use different glitter card stock for them.  (It’s hard to see the light in the black and white example.) This drawing is so easy to make!

The red and black glitter card is Recollections, and the blue is DCWV.  Black Graduation Caps (#SPJBLG229) from Jolee’s Boutique.  I used a scoreboard to draw a diagonal line for my Rubber Stamped greeting.  2 different star cutters (#03-026386 and #03-026382) are designed for cutting deep tools by Fiskars.   The frame was created with the R R Memory Storage Frame Punch Board.  The sentiment inside is stamped with Northwoods Rubber Stamps.

Special thanks to my sons, Kevin and Eric. I couldn’t have set up my blog without your help! It’s graduation time! I have a handmade graduation card that is also a fun card. This Graduation Gown card can easily be personalized for the special graduate in your life by changing the color of the card to match their school or adding a special decoration.

I learned how to make this card by showing Missy Shipman who taught Kimono cards at the Symbols of Fortune Class last month.

Missy learned to do this painting with Dawn Olchefske. I want to thank my friends for supporting me with advice, creativity, techniques, and templates.

The first recipient of this handmade graduation card was Austin who graduated from the University of Hawaii this weekend. Lei ceremonies are a big part of the graduation here, so I added a lei to Austin’s card using the ‘Bough Punch’ and ‘Eden Dies’.

One of the dies from the ‘Beautiful Shapes Dies’ makes a nice finishing touch to add a belly.

What colors would you use for your graduation cards? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this card!

The two graduation cards below have been modified by changing the school colors. I added gold piping to the blue and orange cardstock I made for Abby to finish off.

I added the cardstock to the neck of Eliza’s card after seeing her finished photo, pictured below. We are so proud of Eliza for graduating as her class’ Valedictorian!

Congratulations to the graduates of the class of 2022. May God bless and guide you every step of the way as you begin this new chapter of your life.
