Corner Tv Stand Ideas For Living Room – Ok guys… keep up the good work (I always do) but this DIY comes with a warning and disclaimer… it was really hard and definitely not a beginner’s project. So here’s the story… we had this weird, boring corner in our living room that was the only place in the room that could have a TV. Our current television was a rectangle, and everyone knows that a rectangle is not a triangle. It felt messy and was difficult to process and keep working. I had a great idea “hey, let’s build an already built part. If you want to know the rest of the story keep reading…

First let me say that we are not professional carpenters at all. We entered this project a little blind but very determined.

Second, let’s take a look at some old “before photos” And unfortunately the photos aren’t great but they give you an idea… (and my style has changed a lot!)

Not a good corner or wall on the ground or right. We need to know the angle we want the TV to be placed at and the height we want it to be. Then we had to determine the width based on the base of the TV. There must be enough space not only for the TV but also for its feet and the wall behind it.

We searched the studio and cut a 1″ x 2″ piece of wood to serve as a support for storage and to determine the dimensions of the piece. We installed wood in the studio for stability.

Then the MDF panels that will act as shelves are cut to size using the support panels as a guide. We have used MDF panels to ensure they are strong and durable. We simply measured the distance between the ends of the support wood to determine its size and shape.

Cut the back panel in the open or exposed position. Then add a 1/4″ round to cut the bottom.

Add a trim to the top edge of the piece. We added a crown design to the top and trimmed the sides with a medallion in the same shape.

Add a board that acts as a side door. We were originally going to use MDF, but due to the size and weight, we felt it was too heavy and would add too much unnecessary weight. So we used a simple board. We also added a header at the top to support the door handle and avoid space underneath. We decided we just needed a central door to work with so we could store and access the various consoles, stereos, DVD players and more.

Add sliding screws to the head and hang the center door after cutting it to match the sides.

We have to paint or paint. First I thought about drawing. Now, as we looked, we thought the stain could be better and give a better look. However, the problem is that MDF is not cleaned properly and with different woods the black color is not visible. So I went back to my original painting idea and love how it turned out. (before painting we removed the space we had created)

Although it was difficult to complete this project, it was worth it. I love the clean, fresh look it gives the room and it’s a great focal point rather than an eyesore. Can you believe the difference a piece of furniture can make in a room?

I’m very happy with how it turned out. I rearranged the furniture after Christmas and my husband really wanted his leather sofa back in the living room. I love how they add another kind of texture and warmth to the room with the new shutters….
