For the past few months, I wanted to create a place where I could read a book, think about future projects or watch TV. they are general extensions only. This cozy place I created is the first small one, and today I show you how to choose and decorate the right table for your place.
Decorating Living Room End Tables
When you’re considering baseboards or accent boards for your space, there are a few things you should know before you get started.
Simple Ideas For Decorating Fall Coffee Table Centerpieces
When I bought my place, I realized that not only did I need an accent table, but I also needed a nice chair to go with it. So I started with the first chair. I found this Threshold™ Upholstered Chair at Target stores. It was perfect. A petite woman with curved legs and feet and no sleeves to fit into my small space.
Then I need a sounding board. In the store I was able to test a variety of side tables. The table should match your furniture, so measure the height of your current pieces and consider the overall style of your decor. In my case, I wanted a table that was almost the same height as the seat of my chair because it doesn’t have arms. The longer the arm of your furniture, the longer the table.
I also have to think about style. I wanted something round because I knew the space would be close to the corner of my office. The smooth lines of a round table help keep the space from looking out of place in a corner.
I liked the idea of a metal table as I have boys who can mess with things. My husband and I love our home, but every now and then someone wants to drag something heavy across the tables. The table I chose was perfect, heavy and very sturdy.
Small Home Decorating Tips For The Living Room
The features and design of the table are what sold me. A subtle touch of industrial metals combined with small amounts of brushed gold details. Not a very big, very fit woman with a curved seat. A bit of women and men mixed.
Decorating a round table can be difficult. Honestly, the round table in my opinion is the hardest thing to decorate.
Décor should help the eye keep moving around your space, not just stop at the table. I chose not to put a light on my desk because I have a large ceiling fan to provide light. I’ve kept my design focused on simple accessories that reflect my personality. A bit of novelty paired with a bit of wine.
See how I “scaled” my makeup? I kept my main item, the Threshold™ Gold Sea Urchin Figure, next to where my portrait was. It helped fill a void. I used some old books, a small bronze, and a glass jar full of colored stones to draw some of my accent color. Then I added a little more color with this multicolored succulent arrangement. This beautiful bird statue is named after me.
Fall Living Room Decorating And Home Tour
Placing decorations on accent tables depends on the type of decoration and the parts you have chosen to hang them. Bound books, small flower arrangements, table lamps, decorative paintings, small decorative boxes, etc. are the best options. Just remember to keep it balanced, don’t clutter the table…you need a place to put a drink or the book you’re reading.
Choosing soundboards and decorations doesn’t have to be expensive. Once you’ve set your budget, start looking around, one of the reasons I love Target so much is because of their amazing styles and prices. Check your home for decor to match new pieces, you may find things that can be given new life with paint.
I really like how this little nook turned out and I’ve made room for a large floor lamp at some point, I’m looking for something I love.
I brought out some pops of gold and color with a quick gallery palette using what I had on hand. Top it all off with some nice textured woven rugs, add a throw with a nice pop of blue for spring, and throw in an old metal box I’ve had for years.

I love this Threshold™ cushion with geometric appliqués that I added to the chair. It combines grays and blacks, and the pattern goes well with the overall style.

My answer is no! How can they go out of style? People always want a place to have their lamps so they can read and put their coffee cup (sometimes, I tried to go without tables, it’s not pretty).

Tables are not large units. To avoid looking dangerous, it’s important to do the “less is more” thing.
However, don’t combine more than 5 items on your table or your tables will look full and crowded no matter how many you put on them.
For example, see how Emily Henderson made it to the top of the table below. There were three things: a cup of coffee, a notepad and
