Design Ideas For Card

Design Ideas For Card – These projects are remakes of two of the projects from July’s Simple Suite Stampers tutorial pack and therefore provide a fun look at this month’s pack. I used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set, the coordinating Magnolia Memories, and some of the gorgeous designer line papers that are included in this awesome product pack.

The original designs for these cards were done by Raquelle Bathe (left) and Tara Stay (right). Thank you Raquelle and Tara!

Design Ideas For Card

I mixed things up based on what I had on hand. Plus, it’s always fun to put my own little twist on the design! Here are my two iterations:

Steampunk Ideas Man Birthday Card

For Raquelle’s centerpiece, she used one of the Magnolia Lane Memories and More cards. These memory cards and others are great for flash cards!

For my two versions below, I used some Magnolia Lane Designer Series papers. I love this planner paper! It’s so great that the card design needs to be simple enough that it doesn’t compete with the paper.

For this first version, I made an “air bow” using some stiff white twine and attached it with a dot of glue.

I used a silver metallic thread behind the sentiment and used rhinestones to coordinate, instead of pearls.

Other than those differences and a different color scheme, I used mostly the same supplies as for the other easy card making ideas shared in today’s post.

These flowers turned out so lush and vibrant! For all the details on this card, check out my video.

I’m a seeker of that crazy, exciting feeling that comes when you create something that’s unique, beautiful, and somehow expresses who you are. It’s like making a new discovery when you find a unique combination of color, layout, dimension and texture. I call it a creative spark and it makes me giddy! The cards in today’s post feature the Thoughtful Expressions pack and a great color combination that includes four of the 2022-2024 InColors. When I browse my folder, I find that a sketch sparks an idea or reminds me of a tool that can achieve a similar effect.  I very rarely follow the outline of a card as a whole.

My method starts with the paper – this is usually a 6″ x 6″ pad or a 6″ x 8″ pad.

Unleash Your Creativity: Inspiring Business Card Design Ideas For Every Industry

First, I tear out all the pages, placing them on the table one by one.  Since there are usually two of each design with an alternate design on the back, I put these two together.  Each side of the paper together.

This works well for some pads like the ones from Echo Park.  One side of the paper is busy and the other side complements it with a more subtle design.

I am a firm believer in NOT reinventing the wheel!  The keyboard designer worked hard to make sure all the designs match, so let’s do the hard work of creating cards using their suggestions.

When I use pillows like this, I use the subtle pattern as the bottom layer and the busy pattern on top.

I cut my base layers from plain colored card to match the colors on the card stock – always the size of the card base.

Then I lay out all the transitional pieces by placing them in groups – all the feelings together, all the images together, etc.

The first card is always the hardest, but once you get into the flow, it just seems to flow.

I create the cards on the base layer.  Leaving the final gluing to the cardboard bases until the end.

Beautiful Handmade Card For Birthday/anniversary

With a clean table, I add the front cards to my card bases.  When I need quick birthday cards, I use cut and mark cards.

And for the folding cards on the Landscape side, I use card blanks and envelopes from Tonic Studios.  The quality of these card packs is amazing.  I wait until they are released before I restock my supplies.

Once they’re all together, I put them back on the table and add some shimmer with the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen and Nuvo Crystal Glaze.  I prefer Crystal Glaze to Glossy Accents – it’s what works for me!

I try to use the sentiments provided in the ephemera package, but they don’t always match your design or what you want to say.
