Modern Farmhouse Front Porch Ideas – Hello friends! I started thinking about my front porch for fall and I had to share about the recent porch refresh I did. It’s a bit summery, but perfect for the front porch of a year-round coastal farmhouse. I’m really happy with how it turned out, with the brushes, neutral tones, and blue accents.
You can see the first reveal of our front porch here. Our house has a long front porch (31 feet long and 8 feet wide) which we divided into three decorative areas: the front door, the rocking chair (to the right of the front door), and the porch swing house (on the left). of the front door).

Little Farmstead: Farmhouse Porch Ideas
The first change I made to my porch was to add artificial palm trees that I bought on sale on WayDay. You won’t find anything further along the coast. I placed them in 24-inch tall white planters made of large concrete bricks that I bought at Home Depot for $0.99 each. I use three in each planter to get the palm tree to the desired height and take up space inside the planter. The rest of the planter is filled with rocks and soil. The fluted planters come from At Home and are a great duck for planters in this beautiful Pottery Barn.
I usually put a wreath on the door, but the simplicity of just the door is somehow fresh and wonderful!
The next big change I made was a new rocking chair. I love my old rocking chairs, but I had a small accident with my power washer that tore the wood and cushions in one of them. I was also considering a luxurious modern chair with cushions from Oka, but my husband convinced me that I wanted it to be as low-maintenance as possible. Even though there is no padding, it is extremely comfortable to wear!
I’ve been thinking about buying this pom pom pillow for months and finally decided to buy it during the Pottery warehouse sale. I like neutral colors so I plan to wear them until fall!

I really like the swing on the porch and just changed the pillows here. If I could go back in time, I would do a few things differently with my swing.
I think I’ll love this style for a while before transitioning into fall! Either way, it’s going to be extremely hot for a while. As the summer days continue, it’s time to enjoy your outdoor space. That’s why we’ve collected some fresh and inspiring farmhouse style ideas for your porch. One of the most popular decorations for porches is plants, so choose your favorites and find some unique planters for them. Depending on your space constraints, choose furniture that meets your needs. Decide what you will use the porch for, will you use it for entertaining or as a cozy living area. Once you’ve decided on your needs (and made a list), you should measure the space in the room to see what size furniture will fit.
This can include couches, benches, rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs, wicker, wicker or plastic furniture, garden stools, coffee tables, and more. Other farmhouse porch decorations include doormats, welcome signs, chalkboard signs, and plant waterers. Cans, old boots, lanterns, garlands. You might consider repainting your front door for contrast. Farmhouse style can also be changed with the seasons, such as hanging wreaths or wreaths or incorporating other seasonal accents.
One of the main goals of decorating a modern farmhouse porch is to create a cozy atmosphere for spending time with family and friends. An easy way to make your outdoor space more comfortable is to add soft cushions, pillows, and hanging swings. You can also incorporate light wood tones, natural elements, and pops of color to give your porch an even more inviting feel. To add a rustic feel to your front porch renovation, consider using handmade shiplap accents, decorative wall hangings, and iron wall sconces. The dining table becomes the main focus. However, if you don’t have enough space, a small side table is perfect for enjoying snacks and drinks.
