Low Cost Apartment Design Philippines – Here are my best designs, both from personal interest (art hobby/training) and for various clients from 2008 to around 2016, when I retired from architecture for the more lucrative IT industry. In August 2023, I started replacing the gray background floor plans with a white background and posted a few more floor plans.

I no longer make new designs to order, but I have over 100 designs for sale. What is included. If you need a new custom design to suit your needs, my architects can help you.

An original “Made by” concept not inspired by any existing building, named after the central hall (as well as the central courtyard, circular corridor and peripheral apartments). 4 bedroom (126 sq m) and 5 bedroom (156 sq m) apartment plans arranged together to form a beautiful continuous front with paired bedroom windows that also have a corridor, not seen in my previous projects.

The idea came in November 2010 when I designed a rectangular floor plan, 3D design was added in 2011, a triangular floor plan was also designed but not published, then through positive comments from friends, in 2015 I redesigned both the rectangle and triangle version, both floor plan and 3D, in the most beautiful combination of neoclassicism and postmodernism.

This is the FIRST apartment building designed at someone’s request in early 2012. An Indian builder asked me to design 20-30 square meter one bedroom apartments for slum dwellers. I put together 3 suggestions and sent him an email asking him to choose which one to go with. He said a detailed answer would come next week, but it didn’t.

As others requested studio plans, I published one of three proposals on the website in 2013, the corridor first inspired by Singapore’s SIT and HDB tenement blocks built in the 1950s and 1960s, but adding two rooms, the kitchen separate from the living room. room. The kitchen toilet was a tradition in Singapore until the 1990s. In 2015 I made a disassembled version of the one personally inspired by the Tiong Bahru Estate, built in the 1950s by the Singapore Improvement Trust. Note that the kitchens overlap the stairs (an authentic Singaporean feature).

Apartment Plans 30-200 Sqm Designed By Me

I wanted to design a 4 bedroom version but I had a layout problem as it would require a larger living room and a second bathroom. In 2019 I had the idea to eliminate the overlap of the kitchens, instead using the space behind the stairs as a bedroom… see the floor plan below.

I also planned to design a complete urban area with 1-4 bedroom apartments and a parking plan, I made a subdivision with 752 apartments in 2016 out of personal interest, but the loss of interest in architecture resulted in this project without a 3D design. I changed the zoning in 2019 and made it 1024 units. Notice how I arranged the blocks in a base 2 number system, the blocks are 4 meters from the pavement and the pattern repeats vertically every 64 meters. Probably suitable for third world countries in Asia and Africa.

Most of the projects featured on the website were for personal interest / artistic interest, but this one I designed for a client in Nigeria who paid for detailed architectural drawings.

On a plot in Lagos measuring 18 x 36 metres, the landowner built a single-storey detached house at the rear and now wanted a two-storey block with four 2-bedroom flats measuring 16 x 10 metres. To save space, I designed a single flight of stairs for each floor with a different arrangement of apartment doors. The client asked me to add another metal ladder to the back, which I think is useless.

I designed 3D models of BIG buildings, but overlooked the SMALL models that most people build when they start investing in real estate. Blocks with 2 apartments per floor, but unlike multi-level split blocks, the designs below are designed as independent buildings, so windows can be placed anywhere.

14 x 10 m that I drew in 2013 for a client who wanted to build a detached house with 10 apartments on a plot intended for detached houses. Same with 16 x 10m one.

In the same year 2013, based on personal interest, I designed a four-room 18 x 15 m block, a masterpiece of residential planning efficiency, offering privacy in the bedrooms despite a minimal entrance hall (guests can be invited into the living room). and they can’t see through the bedroom door). In June 2015, I refined the floor plan and also designed a 3D model of the Art Deco architectural style.

The 3D design includes low-rise blocks with 40 apartments and high-rise blocks with 40 apartments again, in an infinite pattern based on a 120 x 56 meter grid with 2 low-rise buildings and 1 high-rise building, containing 24 2-bedroom, 64 3-bedroom, 32 4-bedroom. The average size of an apartment is 80 square meters. 179 apartments per hectare.

House Floor Plans 50-400 Sqm Designed By Me

Unlike Asia and America, European apartment design has corridors, usually you enter the corridor, then enter the living room and bedroom, so the living room can also be used for sleeping. In some apartments, usually smaller ones, you go through the living room to get to the bedrooms. Day and night areas are well separated. No need for a bathroom window. Private bathrooms are rare in Europe, usually 3 bedroom apartments have one full bathroom and toilet, 4 bedroom apartments have one bathroom and one toilet with shower, but there is no exact rule. The bathroom is always located in the night area, while the toilet is usually in the day area. The most important rooms face south, the staircase can be on both the south and north sides, depending on the location of the street.

In 2009, I was criticized by a British architect who said that my “ideal city” looked like 1960s social housing. Well, now I really wanted to design something from the 1960s to the 1980s in the style of European public housing in the 1990s, both capitalist and Stalinist-communist. The idea started in 2010 with a lack of knowledge, I later designed the 3D model and published it in March 2012 with European country houses up to 6 bedrooms.

Building design inspired by Northern Europe (Sweden, Norway, Finland), Germany increases the ratio to 42 square meters per person and only 2.2 people per apartment, but for apartments I expect this ratio to be lower. I could not find exact information about the size of an average apartment, many families have an apartment in the city and a house in the countryside. Apartments are usually 1-4 rooms, but there are also some 5 rooms.

I redesigned the European series in 2016, made the walls 20 cm and 10 cm thick instead of 12.5 cm, the linear walking blocks are almost unchanged, the Short Tower was changed to a walking block with a recessed balcony and smaller rooms, the Long Tower got a bigger balcony and smaller rooms, I also added some extra block types.

These floor plans are based on sketches made for real customers. They weren’t interested in a complete project, but I took a personal interest in their designs, turned them into my own rules, and posted them here for reference.

The Philippines has the smallest apartments in the world. The room sizes are comparable to Hong Kong, but instead of 2/3 bedroom apartments, you can see huge apartment buildings in the Philippines, characterized by studios and 1 bedrooms, for example http://www.smresidencescondo.com/myplace-plan .html from 16 square meter studios in a 40 square meter two-room studio apartment.

In 2014, this comment was left by an Indian who wanted to build an apartment building with an elevator on a 5 x 12 m plot. Impossible! In 2016 another Indian asked me to design an apartment with a front kitchen on a 4.8m wide plot for Vastu reasons which turned out to be impossible. This time I will also publish there a drawing showing that 5 x 15 meters is the minimum land required to build a block of two-bedroom flats on each floor.

Linear Small is a cheaper pair of Linear Large, the living room faces the common corridor. Designed in 2009.

Short version, 64 meters long, 8 units high with 2, 3 and 4 rooms. Long version, 76 meters long, 8 units on 3 and 4 bedroom floors. And of course other versions. The floor plan and 3D model show half of the short version and half of the longer version.

Linear Large (formerly New Generation) is the pair and opposite of Linear Small (formerly Old Generation), where all living rooms and (almost) all bedrooms face a common hallway. 8 standard types of apartments ranging from 84 to 133 square meters, as well as other customized types for non-90° joints, arranged according to the common corridor, can form different shapes. 104 square meter 4 room Midja is the “bottom”, the most common apartment. Designed in 2009.

Example: 61 x 48 meters L-shaped with 8 units per floor, 4 and 5 bedrooms; 88 x 48 meters S-shaped, 16 units high, 4 and 5 rooms; 64 meter diameter octagon with 16 units per floor, only 3 bedrooms etc.

14 meter wide block with flat fronts. The floor plan shows a version of 8 units high, 60 meters long, the 3D image shows 2 blocks of 12 units high, 88 meters long, 28 meters apart. 140 square meter 4-room apartments,
