Simple Book Cover Design Ideas Handmade – I was at my mother-in-law’s the other day and I was amazed when she showed me her handwritten recipe book that she’s kept since she was a teenager. And that’s when I realized that instead of searching the internet every time I make something new, I should start writing down my favorite recipes. That’s why I came up with the idea for a handwritten recipe book. So in today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a simple recipe book cover that will help you preserve your culinary knowledge and meaningful recipes for years to come. This is the first step in creating a recipe book and will definitely inspire you to write some recipes.

Any size notebook will be needed for this lesson. I picked it up at a craft paper store with a pretty plain pink cover.

To create a rectangle, you can use a pencil to create a guideline of about 3 cm around the hood. The outdoor space is designed for you to create your own style. I highlighted the rectangle in black for better understanding.

I love paisley patterns in henna designs so I decided to include them in today’s illustration. I used Faber Castell watercolor pencils for this illustration because they are easy to use. I started with light pink colored pencils making different sized patterns in the space shown below.

Then I used blue crayons to create small paisleys inside the larger crayons and filled them with color. If you notice I didn’t add blue to all the paizel, I will fill the rest with another color later.

I want my face to look colorful and amazing. Use as many bright colors as possible. I filled the rest with pink and orange.

I found some negative space, and as you probably know, I’m not a huge fan. So I decided to make some swirls around the paisley with a blue pencil. However, I think the blue could have been used a little brighter. I highlighted the inner rectangle with a pink pencil

How To Best Use Your Affirmations Book

You can follow my instructions and make this origami bird, or you can choose your favorite shape, maybe an origami crane?

And you don’t have to worry about the thickness of the chiffon, as mine was quite thick and you can punch small holes in the cover with a simple paper clip.

– Prepare your book. Decide on the location of the origami bird and place a piece of cardboard between the cover and the first page to protect the page.

– Download and print the template for free. Or copy the image to the desired size of paper.

* You can use masking tape to keep the design in place for the next step

– Make a hole in the lid with a needle. Repeat the process of making holes according to the points on the pattern until all are done.

– Remove the model from the cover. Make sure you haven’t missed any holes, and make sure the holes are big enough to fit the needle all the way through.

– Tie a knot in the thread and connect the holes and start embroidering. Keep the template close by as a reference.

There were plans to update the old version of the book cover.  You know those bags made out of grocery bags?  I always made it for my kids when they were in school.  Anyway, I decided to use a technique called Iris Folding with bright colored paper to make these boring book covers interesting.

As shown in the picture, open the paper bag first and cut off the bottom flap so that you have one large sheet of paper.

Place the grocery bag printed side up and fold the top and bottom edges of the paper to match the top and bottom of the book.

Fold one end of the paper and push the front cover of the book over the open end until the edge of the cover meets the crease.

There’s nothing like a new notebook to attract opportunity, its bright pages tempting you to speculate about what’s to come. And personalizing your notebook is a great way to channel your sense of affordability and make it your own. So why not start a new school year, a new project or a new journal with this DIY decoupage notebook?

This simple collage project is great for all ages, and letting kids customize their notebooks is a fun way to have a new learning adventure. This craft makes a unique gift or party favor – we love it for DIY parties for kids. (Tip: This helps give new life to old notebooks and keeps most blank pages out of the trash. Just tear out the used pages, decoupage the cover, and voila! The siblings will never know the difference, but thank you.)

Little Birdie Crafts Archives

You can find a basic notebook or writing book for just a few dollars at any grocery store or corner store, or maybe you have a book at home that you want to update. Mod Podge is available at any craft store for $5-$10. You can get a foam brush for less than a dollar at a time.

Step 1: Choose your paper and start drawing the outline of the front and back of the notebook cover (make sure you’re drawing on the other side of the paper). If your paper already has a straight edge, use the edge on the back of the notebook. You can also cut the paper into several pieces and make interesting collages in your notebook!

Step 2: You’ll cut it out later, but don’t worry because you’ll want to leave about ½ inch extra on the top, bottom, and one edge where you wrap around the inside of the mat. be perfectly straight. The other edge will match the back of the notebook so keep it nice and straight, or use a straight edge of the paper like I did so you don’t have to touch it! Do this on the front and back.

Step 3: Once it’s yours
