Creative Notebook Decoration Ideas: Diy Cover Page Designs
This is probably my favorite part about having a planner/notebook! When it comes to decorating, the sky’s the limit! It really depends on your imagination because there is so much you can create! Since spring is here (almost, if you live in the Midwest like me), I decided to use watercolors and pastels to bring my new design to life!
I love using all kinds of washi tape, stamps, stickers, whatever I think would look good and complement the design! I love the way the layout of this page turned out! It makes me absolutely happy indoors because there is so much color and beauty going on and I definitely can’t wait to start filling it.
I just love journaling cards so much! It adds character and life to your plans – at least in my opinion! Once laminated, it will not deteriorate and can be reused on other pages. You can leave it as another piece of decor or you can use it as a sticky note dashboard for easy access when planning on the go!
You can find diary cards at any local craft store, Wal-Mart or Target. Other than that, you can even make them yourself using card stock! Download some cute fonts from dafont.com and write your own quotes or find cute images from Pinterest and print them!

DIY paperclips can be very boring and time consuming, but they are not! You can use cardstock, washi tape, ribbons, stamps and stickers (to name a few) – if you’re using cardstock or stickers and want to make them extra strong, simply laminate the design before sticking to a paper clip.
I think these DIY thumbtacks add a cute touch to your planner/notebook! I mean come on, look how cute he is!!
Regular Prism is boring to use.. but its adhesive is much better than others and you can reapply it a million times without losing stickiness. So why not customize it and turn it from boring to beautiful! Honestly, it’s pretty simple. All you need are stamps and/or scissors. You can go to town with it and do anything your heart desires!
I hope you all enjoy this and find it useful! I have more DIY posts coming your way in the future, so stay tuned and have a nice break during your week! A personal diary is something you will enjoy using again and again. You can use the stunning colors in this glitter pen set to decorate the title and turn an ordinary notebook into something special. Whether you’re a fan of black and white, pastels or metallics, there are 22 gorgeous colors to choose from, so there’s something to suit everyone. Glitter paint pens let you create custom looks for almost any material, including paper, glass, plastic or metal. We chose a copper color for the quote on our notebook, as it stands out well against a black background.
Notebook Decoration Ideas You’ll Want To Make
For this idea you will need: 4095 chalk pen in white, 780 glitter paint pen in white (0.8mm line width) and 753 glitter paint pen with brass nib. Choose a great idea or quote for your journal and sketch it on paper.
Now flip the paper over so you can see your template later. Using a chalk pen, go over the pencil lines or outline the idea. Before using the chalk marker, you need to activate it: shake the marker vigorously with the cap on. Remove the cap, place the nib on absorbent paper and gently pump it up and down several times until ink appears in the nib. You are now ready to begin. (And always remember to keep the marker horizontal after use.)
When finished, flip the template over again and place it on the notebook with the chalk pencil line facing down. Next, use a pencil to retrace all the outlines (you may need to press very hard) and transfer the chalk pencil lines to the notebook.
Now you can start decorating your shape with colors. Before using the Glitter Line Marker, it must be activated as shown in Step 2.

Use a shiny copper calligraphy pen to trace or color in individual letters in your quote. The nib means you can write beautifully in both broad and narrow strokes. You can also use white 780 to emphasize individual letters with fine lines and add embellishment.
