It’s the substance. . . it is not necessarily difficult to use, but it is fragile to a certain extent.
Not straight out of the package, but when used with Mod Podge or another liquid carrier, it can break. That’s why I’m happy to share my tips with you today.
In fact, here are my favorite tissue paper tips you should know before you get started:
20 Creative Ways To Use Contact Paper
1. When working with fabrics, make sure that the scissors and punches are very sharp. If you want to sharpen them, use aluminum foil and poke or cut it several times (I have more tips like this here). Dull tools will simply bend the paper.
2. If you want to punch through thin fabric, punch several sheets at the same time. One sheet is not enough to get a clean cut, the paper just falls; The number of leaves depends on the punch, so play around with it a bit.
3. The fabric starts to release dye when it gets wet. It takes about a minute. So if you use it with Mod Podge, you can brush it on, but don’t scrub too hard.
When you first apply, blend it just enough to make it smooth (you can also use your fingers carefully). Then let it dry. If you continue to manipulate it at this point, it will tear, release the dye and spoil it.

4. Small squares or pieces are easier to work with than whole leaves (because they wrinkle). Most of these projects come in small pieces, but there are some larger sheets (especially party supplies).
