Bathroom Design Ideas With Bathtub

Bathroom Design Ideas With Bathtub – This master bathroom renovation project was fun! Over the years, this bathroom has had a few minor remodels with new floors and countertops, a new mirror, and a few other cosmetic changes, but when the floor had to come out, it would just be so messy and cause problems with the existing cabinets, so they had to come out , and then you know how it goes…it’s snowing and suddenly you’re redoing the entire bathroom.

When I say it was messy coming out of the bathroom…I mean messy! It’s always around this point in any project that I start to feel a little panicked… like there’s no going back! 😉

Bathroom Design Ideas With Bathtub

We had one of those large built in baths with a stand alone shower next to it that we both hadn’t touched since we moved in 20 years ago.

We didn’t have room to move anything and change the floor plan, but just freeing the tub from its tile frame was pretty good! 😉

I matched the 2″ hex mosaic on the floor and in the shower niche…and covered the entire shower floor and under the tub with it. It blended seamlessly with the hardwood floors in the rest of the bathroom and looks really nice.

I love finding a way to make things look nice without breaking the bank. I added 12×24 marble look porcelain tiles from Floor and Decor over the entire back wall of the bathroom. Each of these 12×24 tiles were under $2.00. Whew! Such a deal!

Custom cabinets are SO expensive and in this house I wanted to keep things within the insurance budget as best I could to keep costs down. IKEA cabinets with semi-handmade fronts were the perfect solution.

The only problem with decorating a bathroom with IKEA cabinets…they don’t make bathroom cabinets, which are usually about 3 inches narrower than kitchen cabinets. Fortunately, we had enough room in this bathroom to use 24 inch boxes, so it worked out well.

I added some quartz countertops from Arizona Tile to dress up the cabinets. White quartz with slight movement of some gray veins.

The freestanding tub is small… because we just don’t have a lot of space, but it doesn’t really bother us because we don’t use it. It’s not that I can’t fit in it, it’s just not a massive “hang in the tub for hours” bathtub. And… we’re just not bath people. It’s perfect for kids though!

Some new mirrors, lighting and appliances and it was done! I love looking at this new space. It feels so fresh and clean!

I found this perfect little piece of art at HomeGoods. My favorite thing is when I find something out there that really feels unique, and this watercolor painting definitely feels that way.

I love the light beach feel over the tub. The perfect finishing touch to warm things up a bit in that corner.

Not a bad refresher, eh? I feel like we can now face the next 20 years with this new master bathroom!

Freestanding bathtubs are a popular choice for modern bathrooms because they are stylish and can instantly make your bathroom feel like a resort. These tubs stand alone and are not attached to any walls, meaning you also have flexibility in terms of placement.

To create a serene focal point, place your freestanding bathtub near a window or under a skylight to enjoy the natural light. Freestanding bathtubs work well in modern bathrooms due to their simple, unbroken lines and modern shape.

Bathtubs are deep tubs designed for total immersion and relaxation. They come in a variety of shapes, including oval, round and rectangular, and are perfect for creating a super relaxing space at home.

Known for their compact and deep design, Japanese bathtubs are a great choice for a feminine-inspired retreat. Be sure to have a coffee table or side table next to your bathtub with your favorite bath salts or products and a good book to sink into your mini spa after a long day.

Space-saving corner bathtubs are a smart solution for increasing bathroom space without compromising on style or comfort. These bathtubs fit nicely in a corner, making them ideal for smaller bathrooms or bathrooms.

By utilizing the commonly underutilized corner space in your bathroom, these bathtubs free up the rest of the space, creating a more open and functional layout while offering a relaxing and comfortable bathing experience. Corner bathtubs are a particularly practical option for anyone renovating the bathroom in an apartment with a limited floor plan.

Built-in bathtubs are integrated into the structure of the bathroom, usually surrounded by tiles to fit in with the rest of the bathroom design. This bathtub option offers a seamless look and can include practical features such as borders and shelves for bath products.
