First, use water on your brush. I have to press it a little to absorb the water. Then paint the water to create a circular shape.

Then carve one of the bases of water and place it on the parts that you painted water. In this way, we create a watercolor effect with a marker and a brush.

If you see a color that isn’t vivid enough, pick up your pen and color over it.

Use a paper towel or cloth to clean the water from the brush so that it does not reach the next colored area.

To speed up the drying process, take a cloth and wring it out to remove the water.

Repeat the above steps with the colored pencil of your choice. I am doing three different colors because I will be stamping them in the next steps.

Draw the rectangles using a black marker and paint inside. This is where our happy birthday is supposed to be.

Make sure the rectangles are large enough to fit the letters. And if you want to add a longer message, you can draw more rectangles.

When the colored paint was completely dry, I used Columbaria Letters Mono-line 03 to draw the fish.

Using your best letters, write Happy Birthday in the black rectangles we drew earlier. I chose to write Happy Birthday in real letters using a Craftsmart Ultra Thin Oil Marker, but you can use any pen or white gel marker that stands out against the background rectangles.

If you like this kind of literature. And I want to practice it, I gave you a letter. Fill out the form at the end of this blog post to get it for free!

You can leave the card open or add some embellishments to make it pop! I put stars, cups and dots around the paper.

I was invited to a birthday party (if you’re a parent, you know that birthday parties are an inevitable part of parenthood, haha). I had enough brain space to organize the presents and even wrap them (I was a little proud of myself). But then… I realized that I don’t have a card!

I decided to go with a colorful candy theme (read = easy to draw) that any kid would be familiar with.

Here’s how to run the challenge. In our Facebook group I did a live broadcast every morning to share ideas and make suggestions. And then I posted the live stream here on the blog so you can always find them. 🙂

Here they are drawn and drawn. You can see the creative process in the videos above.

Birthday Card Drawing Easy

I started by designing 4 different designs for DIY cards. I fell in love with the candle design first (see below), but then based on your response I decided to go with the cake design. I actually think the cupcake is the cutest and will make the recipient of the card very happy. Thank you very much for your comment! Therefore, it is better to create together. 🙂

My creative process always starts with research. So here are some ideas to get you started with DIY cards.

One idea is to have a nice and unique background (because all watercolors come out the same color) with letters on it. They will give birth easily and with great pressure!

Or you can use a plastic craft bag for quick, easy, and mess-proof sprinkling. The teacher in this video uses markers to add color, but you can simply put a few drops of watercolor in a plastic bag for the same effect.

Another idea is to paint some spots and then doodle on them. I love flowers and I like how it looks. Very easy!

Living My Dream: “one Stamp, Five Ways”

You can drag these anywhere you want. I suggest you divide the paper into three parts. So add your first line here. And then measure the distance from the top of the paper to that line and then repeat the same thing at the bottom.

If you are not comfortable jumping directly onto the ink, you can do it with a pencil. Personally, I went straight to ink with my Micron 03. Add some leaves and grapes and the like. If you’ve never seen how to draw leaves and vines, I actually have a whole video on that. You can check it out here.

Anyway, make sure you use that top line in your course. Start all your doodles on that line and work your way up the paper. Just fill it with all kinds of leaves and grapes. You can use whatever you want. You can draw flowers, you can only draw leaves and vines. You can do a combination of both. It’s really whatever you want, but the idea is that you use that font guideline for your term – you don’t always go over it because we all write letters there.

Take your time, so fill the top and bottom. And you can give as much or as much as you want, as little or as much as you want.

I have put lines on some of the leaves, but I prefer these to be completely personal. You can just leave it as a blank line drawn in the beginning, but I personally added details to add some contrast.

Also, don’t be afraid to shuffle your paper. You don’t have to work on it the same way all the time.

I think it’s easier to go up than to go down. As soon as I was done with the top, I drilled the bottom.

Once you’re done with the flowers and you’re happy with them, use your ruler and pencil again to draw some lines for your letter.

However, I would like to give you some guidelines. I did calligraphy because I specialize in it, but I could write with letters. You can only write in your normal handwriting. Do what you want.

I wrote happy birthday, but I started with the word “birthday” because that part of the calligraphy was more difficult to put on the page. And then I wrote the word “happy” in the letter above. I stroked the word “birthday” on the first brush, then added a few extra strokes on top and the word “happy”.

I used micron 01 to write the word happy on my letters. Then I took the Tumbow Fudenosuke brush to write the word birthday in my modern script. After we were done, I decided to make the letters a little thicker, but again I preferred all of this.

If you use a pen that gets dirty, wait until it dries. I used archival ink which dries super fast so I can erase right away.
