There is something puzzling about Canva – missing pictures. This usually happens when you accidentally or otherwise drag an element outside of the Canva page workspace.

Many users cannot understand why this happens and more importantly how it can be fixed. By the way, this doesn’t happen in PowerPoint.
Why Are My Canva Images So Blurry And What Can I Do About It? — Boss Project
I call these cases ‘Out of Sight – Out of Mind’ or OoSOoM (coined by me). And in this article I will show you some hacks to solve this OoSOoM problem.
NOTE: These are ‘kill hacks’ and have nothing to do with Canva missing designs and/or elements issues that can happen to many users for various reasons. In the latter case, you will need to contact Canva Support for assistance.
Canva is a great and very popular design tool, and millions of users create great visuals every day for a variety of purposes, one of which is social media posting.
An animated carousel is such a creative visualization and you can easily use the various animations and transitions provided by Canva for this.

[You still can’t change the order of animations on a page, and there are other restrictions on the duration and number of possible animations on a page.]
If you get to the carousel, let’s say you want a series of 3 or more videos or images that appear one after the other, even if the other elements on the pages remain static.
To do this, if you use a page animation (say a ‘Sleek’ animation) on all pages, what happens is that all elements on the page move, NOT JUST the VIDEO OR IMAGE you want to move.
So, the hacks you see will do exactly that by simply linking images together. Consequently, if the image in the ‘link’ is outside the page area, it will not disappear.

A common feature in Canva and PowerPoint, “Groups”, is unique in that you can link elements together to easily –
In Canva, you can “merge” almost any element together like you do in PowerPoint. A ‘group’ usually animates as a single element. To avoid this, you need to ‘ungroup’ the ‘group’. You can resize the group by dragging the border or by using the Arrange menu in Canva. When you change the transparency, it affects all elements in the group. When you create a group in Canva, it is imperative that all elements (or parts of them) are present in the page view area. After creating a “group”, increase its dimensions to push one or more elements out of the viewport. Don’t worry, they are not going anywhere, they are there even if they are not visible.
In fact, the last point no. 4, how to make a nice carousel video that ensures only one element (perhaps an image) is visible at a time.
If for some reason you can’t record a video in a ‘group’, you can solve this by using a grid where you can embed videos.

Canva gives you a wide variety of grids to choose from, and once you’ve selected a grid, you can change its dimensions in the Arrange menu (Position > Arrange | Layers).
Now that you know a lot about groups and grids, watch the demo video below to understand the steps to link images or other elements in Canva.
Linking or combining visual elements is a great step to create engaging animations. I tried to give an example in the video above (at the end, so check it out until then!).
While missing images isn’t a problem in PowerPoint, it is in Canva, as I mentioned at the beginning of this post. The bottom line is that designing beautiful visuals for display ads should be easier to achieve, which is what Canva strives to achieve.

Don't worry, you're not alone. It can be incredibly frustrating when the creative platform we rely on fails us at the most important moments. From slow loading times to missing features, nothing is more frustrating than not being able to realize our visions. In this article, we'll explore common reasons why Canva might not be working properly and offer some practical solutions to get you back on track. So go ahead and get ready for a troubleshooting adventure!
One common problem users encounter with Canva is slow loading times. This can be frustrating, especially if you’re in a rush to create stunning designs. A slow loading problem can stem from a variety of factors, such as internet connection, browser issues, or even server issues on the Canva site. One way to solve this problem is to check your internet connection and make sure it is stable. It’s also worth trying different browsers or clearing your cache to see if that improves your download speed.
Another issue users may face is Canva not working properly or freezing while using certain features. This can hinder productivity and creativity, leaving you stuck. One possible reason for this could be old software or plugins on your device. Making sure you have the latest updates installed can often fix these compatibility issues with the Canva platform. Additionally, closing any additional unnecessary tabs or programs running in the background can help free up system resources and improve overall performance when using Canva.
How To Fix Canva Slow Loading Issue
While issues with Canva not loading or working properly can generally be frustrating, there are usually easy solutions to get things back on track quickly. By troubleshooting potential causes such as internet connection, browser compatibility, and software updates, you’ll likely find a solution to the problem so you can continue creating beautiful designs without a problem!
A slow internet connection can turn a quick and easy Canva edit into a frustrating and time-consuming experience. Loading problems caused by slow internet speeds can significantly hamper your workflow. Not only will you have to wait longer for images, templates, and designs to load, but you may also experience problems saving and exporting your work. And let’s not forget the dreaded phenomenon of your browser freezing or crashing completely.
One aspect that is often overlooked is the impact of slow internet on collaborative projects in Canva. Collaborating with others becomes a tedious task when every action takes years to synchronize due to lagging connections. This can make it nearly impossible to participate in real-time discussions or see team member changes immediately. As a result, productivity is greatly reduced, causing delays in project completion and potentially damaging team cohesion.
For Canva users experiencing loading issues, it is essential to first investigate their internet connection speed before blaming the platform itself. Investing in a faster internet package or upgrading your current package could be an effective solution if you’re constantly dealing with slow speeds while planning. Additionally, running regular speed tests can help identify any fluctuations in performance over time – this information will come in handy when you seek help from your service provider.

Browser compatibility issues can be a huge headache for users of Canva, a web design platform. Although Canva is designed to be compatible with all major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, there are instances where some features do not work as intended. For example, some users have reported problems with fonts or images loading correctly when using Internet Explorer. This can significantly affect the overall functionality and user experience of the platform.
One of the possible reasons for these compatibility issues could be the use of old browser versions. Canva regularly updates its software to improve performance and add new features. However, older browser versions may not effectively support these updates, resulting in bugs or platform errors. To avoid such problems, it is recommended that users update their browsers with the available version. Additionally, clearing cache and cookies can help resolve potential conflicts between Canva and your browser.
Another factor that can affect Canva’s functionality in different browsers is the level of JavaScript support. JavaScript is an essential part of modern web applications like Canva, enabling dynamic content and interactivity on websites. If your browser has limited or incomplete support for the JavaScript features used by the Canva codebase, some features may not work correctly or at all. Keeping JavaScript enabled in your browser settings and ensuring compatibility with popular frameworks can mitigate these issues to some extent.
A common solution to solving loading problems with Canva is to clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Cache and cookies are temporary files stored on your computer that sometimes interfere with the operation of the website. By deleting these files, you’re essentially starting over and giving Canva a brand new job.
