For each of these projects, you’ll need a few basic supplies: card stock; blank white cards and envelopes; sharp tools, such as scissors, an X-ACTO knife or a paper trimmer; and paper-based adhesives Additional supplies for specialty cards are detailed below

Sometimes making a beautiful card is as simple as… taping something to the front Glue a pretty piece of cardstock to a blank card front, add a message, and grab a birthday candle from the kitchen junk drawer.

Create this cool design by printing or stamping your message (or in this case, messages) onto a blank card. Then cut lengths of colored washi tape and use scissors to create ripple-y organic shapes. Use these waves to frame your letter, and your card is ready to roll!

When it comes to paper crafting, you can’t go wrong with stamping This card uses simple triangles to create a geometric arrangement that we love Don’t have a stamp? No sweat – you can make a DIY by cutting out the white eraser If you have a little extra time, use a box cutter or X-ACTO knife to create a pattern on your stamp for extra detail!

Greeting Card Design With Graceful Tiles & More

Finally, a card that combines two of our favorite things: ice cream and coffee (sort of) If your crafting passion is fueled by caffeine, cut an old coffee sleeve into a corner and glue it to your card. Top it off with some non-pareil, and you’ve got the scoop on the beautiful halo

To get this fun look, print or stamp a card message and just add some tissue paper. Tissue paper is visible, so you can use a glue stick to stick the paper over your letters.

You can trace and cut out the circles by hand, but using a circle punch is easier (and much faster!).

Print, stamp or handwrite your message on all of our polka dots, then just press an unused pencil eraser onto the ink pad and start dotting!

When it comes to stamping, erasers are definitely your BFF Use a pencil cap eraser to create the cool circle effect and take a stencil of your choice to stamp the design. If you don’t have a stencil, just draw your shape on a piece of paper, cut it out and use it as a craft!

Bring on the energy with washi tape letters Write your message in large block letters on wax paper and cover it with washi tape Then just flip it over, cut out the letters and add it to your card along with some other accents!

A big, shiny exclamation point is an overstatement Print or stamp your message on the card, cut some clear paper and stick it on. It’s simple!

Three words: Mini Pom Poms We design these designs for all birthday and non-birthday occasions Use a small dot of tacky glue to adhere your mini pom poms, then pull the strings with a simple pen stroke when dry.

Confetti is good, but it’s even better when you make it yourself! This card is like a mini, mobile party Use a hole punch to make confetti pieces from tissue paper, place in a pretty gauze bag and tape to your card. So sweet!

The perfect card for a story-loving child… or an adult who appreciates something funny This card may look a little time consuming, but we have the template for it – just print it out, trace the images onto card stock, cut out the pieces and glue them together.

In the template, the rainbow rays are full circles You can cut them in half before transferring them to the cardstock, or you can cut them in half afterwards That makes sense to you!

Flower lovers, this is for you Attaching the bold flowers to the card with a paper fastener is easy, and looks great! Decorate your design with washi tape and a message, and you’re good to go

Flipping through my folders I find that a sketch sparks an idea or reminds me of a death that can achieve a similar effect.  I rarely follow a card sketch

My method starts with a paper pad – this is usually a 6″ x 6″ pad or a 6″ x 8″ pad.

First I delete all the pages I have in the table  Since there are usually two designs with two alternate designs on the back I combined the two  Each side of the paper together

Z-fold Flap Card Design Idea: Make A Beautiful Simple Greeting Card

This works well for some pads like Eco Park  One side of the paper is busy and the other side fills it with a more subtle pattern

I firmly believe in not reinventing the wheel!  If the pad designer worked hard to make sure all the patterns match, let’s use their advice to get down to the hard work of making the card.

When using pads like this I use subtle designs as the bottom layer and busy designs on top.

I cut my base layers from plain colored card to match the color on the paper bag – always the size of the card base.

Then I put all the temporary pieces into groups – all the feelings together, all the pictures together, etc

The first card is always hard but once you get into the flow it starts rolling

I make cards at base level  Leave the final gluing to the card base until the end

I add again with a clear table
