Clay Bowl Design Ideas – When Sasha was young, I did not have as much time as I would like to devote myself to a small, beautiful work. For me, being welcomed back is not just a good time, it’s important to take care of yourself physically and mentally. As an introvert, I need this time to recharge my batteries. The purpose of the work is to calm my nervous system, keep my mind from running wild, and allow me to be present in the moment.
So when I felt like I needed a 30-minute break from a busy day of childcare, I took us to the “Ceramics Painting Cafe” as it’s called in the UK, or the “Ceramics Painting Cafe” here in the US (Color. Me Mine is a well-known network). of pottery, you can choose from a variety of simple ceramic products such as bowls, cups or figurines, which are decorated with glaze and the plates provided.

Sasha LOVED painting the pottery, as did most of the kids, so it was a win for all of us. It’s amazing to see how happy the kids are when you’re drawing with them. But hey, everyone is different and it’s possible that you won’t be able to finish. You can always take the glaze and finish the work at home before you take it to run.

It should be said that this is not the cheapest job in the world, especially with several children. We were not able to do this as often as we would have liked, exactly 8 times, since every time we came I drew a plate to add to my collection. Even after a year of visiting, I ended up collecting some great breakfast dishes, full of wonderful memories.
Here are some tips, tricks and ideas on how to make your own beautiful bowl.
Everything you need is provided, but keep in mind that paintbrushes are often in large sizes and you may not be able to find the size you need. I usually paint with whatever is provided, because I didn’t have an organization to organize and bring my own brushes. That being said, I love the seamless effect that the imperfection brush produces. But bring your own tools, especially if you want to work with small pieces.
If you want to make a small collection, be sure to choose something that can be found in any pottery studio, such as plates, bowls or cups. I’ve been to a lot of studios in the UK, Canada and the US so my highlights and shades vary a bit. I love this little difference. All the collections are still there because of how I painted them. If you’re a fan of bright and classy jewelry like me, then this one is for you.

For me, I stuck to the same color and size/shape. This way I was free to explore different models.
If you want to use different colors, you may need to keep the same pattern on each plate so that they do not match. Use the same color and pattern if you want to use different things (such as plates, cups, and bowls).
For a rich, deep color you need to apply at least two glazes. This is especially important in large areas if you want to achieve a consistent tone. In my case, I did this inside the bowl, but you can paint the object to match the background color. However, nothing out of place is repeated and the results are good.
How to Paint: Once the inside of the bowl is painted, turn it upside down on a flat surface or a turntable. Usually, starting from the center around the bottom ring, work outwards. (See diagram below)

The design is very simple. Don’t be afraid of imperfection. It is better if the dots are uneven or the line is too wavy. This will create a beautiful image that will be very interesting to look at.
When working with repetition, try to work in “clusters”, for example, make families of points / lines that are the same size / size, and then go to the place where you change the size and / or distance of the next group. I hope this makes sense.
As with many of my projects, the emphasis of this project is to minimize and work with a purpose. These days we don’t like to do things slowly and carefully. Repetition of drawings requires concentration without using too much brain power. You may be thinking, “I don’t have time for this…what if we are used to quick and easy ways. Over the last half century our lives have been shaped
But also because of convenience due to the invention of useful products such as dishwashing detergents, processed foods and, in recent years, portable devices. So luckily we should have more time. We don’t wash our dirty clothes by the river, so shouldn’t we relax with a good book while the washer/dryer does the work for us? Well, we all know that we are more stressed and pressed for time than ever. Will we be able to sustain this rate of growth for a long time? It was important for me to find an “anchor” that would calm my mind and lower my blood pressure. Only when my brain chatter is over can I start looking at things properly and (if necessary) find the necessary space to rebuild my life. So please take your time. You may not want to do this the first time, but do it while pouring a glass of chardonnay while sitting on your couch in front of Netflix. You can be calm, inspired and with new energy 🙂

Yesterday I worked on a slightly different project – in collaboration with my friend Stefan at @tiny_planet_ch. He creates truly magical images while traveling around the world (mostly Switzerland at the moment) using his Insta360 camera. Swipe to see a photo taken on the steps of the @goetheanum_official near Basel. I was drawn to the soft, warm look and feel of the image, even though I didn’t know where it came from. It’s not surprising that the photo was taken in the architectural space created by the founder of anthroposophy @rudolfsteiner1861, whose artistic skills have been associated with me since I went to a Waldorf-inspired school #repeatpattern #insta360onex #psychedelicart #wallart Collecting, a beauty blog of DIY lovers all things paper.
