Competition Design – Based on the popular vote and feedback from our panel of expert judges, we’ve narrowed it down to three runners-up.

Note: This competition is not “job specific”. While we may display your work publicly to promote the contest, your design will not be used for advertising or profit. The purpose of the competition is to celebrate the joy of creating great design.

Competition Design

Event name, dates, city, URL (), and one or more conference logos (see art below).

Design Competition Posters

This can include: the name of the venue, the names of the speakers, and/or the title, and any cool and relevant photos or articles you want to include. (Please make sure you have the right to include the rights you use.)

Posters may include artwork as long as you have the appropriate rights to do so. However, posters will be judged on originality, as well as creativity and use of typography.

Once we’ve reviewed and approved your submission, we’ll add it to the fan poll page, below. Please allow 1 to 2 days for your design to be processed. You will receive a confirmation email when your post is live.

Anyone can vote, once a day, from now until Friday, April 3. Be sure to share the contest with your friends so they can help you!

Here’s how you win: The winner gets the highest score, where 50% of the score is based on the expert’s popular vote (voting your friends). The highest score wins!

Additional Details: Contest is limited to 1 entry per person. No purchase required. CreativePro Week reserves the right to cancel submissions at any time. Prize is non-transferable and valid for 2020 only. The winner may have to declare the value of their winnings on their taxes. Airfare and hotel are not included. Winner must complete W9 to access prize.

We are excited to announce the American Planning Association’s 2025 Student Planning and Design Competition. The site selected is a 46-acre parcel in Colfax and Federal Cloverleaf, Denver, CO, which will host the 2025 National Planning Conference. The site is adjacent to Empower Field on Mile High to the east and multi-family residential areas to the west.

The project site for the student planning and design competition project is the New Nicolet development, a former commercial site in South Minneapolis, MN. The project site spans 10 acres between Midtown Greenway, Lake St, 1st Ave, and Blaisdell Ave.

On April 15, 2024, the three groups of best students were presented before the judges at the public meeting of NPC 24 Minneapolis. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology team took first place, followed by the University of Minnesota and the University of Illinois-Chicago. New this year is the launch of a public event competition in the NPC host city. Student design focus on these real-life areas continues APA’s ongoing effort to provide leadership in critical community development. By promoting excellence in planning, promoting education, and empowering citizens, APA hopes to provide the tools and support necessary to meet the challenges of growth and change.

Now in its sixth year, the 2023 competition challenges students to create plans and design proposals for a proposed vision plan for the Logan Triangle area of ​​Philadelphia’s Uptown district. 

Volunteers from the APA Urban Design and Preservation Division (UDP) reviewed and scored the entries for the competition team. A panel of judges selected three finalists – Arizona State University, University of South Florida, and University of Memphis – to present to judges at the National Planning Conference in Philadelphia.

Design Competition Kickstarts Metro Anniversary Celebrations

After operating a design and build program in the Denver metro area for nearly 30 years, MOA expanded its design and build program to include a national competition as part of the program. 2023 marks the fifth annual national art, architecture and design competition.
