Decor Ideas For Bathroom Shelves – I live in a small house with my daughter and one thing I really love is storage space!  I downsized a LOT when I moved from a 5 bedroom, 4 bath home to a 3 bedroom, 1 bath home, but I still have stuff!  These DIY bathroom shelf ideas are not only beautiful, but they’re also practical, and they all add extra storage space.

Don’t be confined by a small house.  I’ve found that when I let myself be creative, I come up with all kinds of creative and beautiful storage solutions!

Pinterest is a great resource when you need creative ideas.  Did you know you can search for “bathroom storage” and add words like “creative” and “cute” to get what you want?  Adding these words will take you beyond the basics and lead you to great ideas and storage hacks.  Add “DIY” to your search and you’ll find tutorials for miles.

My bathroom isn’t small, but my washer and dryer are in it, so they take up a lot of space.  This must have been challenging for my daughter and I as we both had our own bathrooms before we lived in this house.

Luckily for me, my bathroom countertop is quite large and we each have our own side.  Between you and me, her side is always messier than mine!  And to be honest, her frustration often bleeds over to my side.  Ah, teenagers!  Gotta love them!

I use the shelves behind my toilet to store extra towels and toilet paper (which keeps it handy for guests) and a few decorative items.  There is also a shelf that runs over the washer and dryer that I use to store decorative items as well as use as a table for detergent and fabric softener on laundry day.

If you have a small linen closet, adding extra white wire shelves is a great way to add to your space.  They are cheap and easy to install and very useful.  You can add baskets or boxes to keep small items inside.

Floor space is also useful for creating storage space.  Wooden crates stacked on top of each other become shelves and they look great!  Hobby Lobby has wooden frames and they are well priced.  Keep an eye out for 40-50% off to make them super affordable!

Finding storage space in your bathroom is not a sexual topic.  But if you get creative with it, it can be a fun adventure. I find that when I take the time to use a space for function and beauty, the finished product is quite satisfying.
