College Apartment Decorating Ideas You Can Actually Afford (2021)
I think the best way to decorate a college apartment on a budget is with pillows.
Thanks to the pillows on the bed or sofa, you will feel at home in the whole room. And if you want to keep up with the seasons, buy pillowcases and blankets and change them throughout the year.
FAVORITE TIP! Amazon sells pillowcase sets REALLY cheap. Get the pillow pieces, and then you can buy pillow sets for, say, four pillows for under $10.
Metal trash cans can literally do a lot for a college apartment. Store blankets, store games, the list goes on!

Mirror mirror on the wall, who saves money best? Well, if you incorporate this idea into decorating your college apartment on a budget, then . . . YOU!
Seriously, mirrors do a lot for a room. And while they may be expensive, small ones are just as powerful. If you are on a tight budget, definitely go for round smaller ones. But if you have the wiggle room, this is a unit I would definitely consider investing in!

If a piece of furniture seems cheap but you don’t like it, take it. Then buy some hardware like the one in the photo above to customize and make it your own!
Furniture is such that it must be functional, not pretty. Season large pieces in other ways than this idea suggests. Your bank account will thank you later!
