We moved home. We’re not crazy in the kitchen, but being under mortgage, redoing it for a while isn’t in the cards.
However, there is a foot (or more) of dead space between the top of the cabinet and the ceiling, and wouldn’t that be great for decorating? He’s just asking for a treat, isn’t he?
Of course, this is not an absolute rule. But the long closet wasn’t good at first.
We have discussed this many times. No one should have 30 feet of counter space in their kitchen with cabinets above it. If you’re lucky enough to have this space, some of the cabinets should be floor-to-ceiling. Looks better.
