Procreate is one of the most popular graphic design programs out there – and for good reason! Available in the App Store as a one-time purchase, Procreate provides a fast and versatile development experience. With an HD canvas, over 130 brushes, and a simple yet intuitive design dashboard, it’s great for sketching on the go as well as adding the finishing touches to existing designs.
As with most design software, it takes some getting used to. However, it’s still a great place to start for beginners, and you can check out their tutorials for more tips!
First you need to choose the colors. Like many graphic design programs and software, Procreate works with the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color profile. This is perfect for online viewing, but not for print, which requires CMYK. You can stop this before you start painting by selecting a new canvas and pressing the + button.
