Concept drawings or sketches are a method used by designers such as architects, engineers and interior designers to quickly and easily explore initial design ideas, often drawn freehand. They are not meant to be precise or explicit, but simply a way to explore and communicate design principles and aesthetic ideas.

Before entering the design development phase, it is important to further develop the conceptual idea. I find axonometric and isometric drawings a useful way to consider all materials and connections.
Axonometric projection is a digital projection in which three-dimensional objects are displayed at an oblique angle so that multiple sides of the object can be seen. Orthographic projection usually shows one face of the object parallel to the surface of the page, while an axonometric view rotates the object so that the plane is not parallel to the page. Axonometric means “measured along an axis”; an object’s axes are drawn to the same scale.
