After the happiest spring and the most rain I can remember seeing, everyone is dying to know when it’s summer! With the cold days, we haven’t been interested in using our outdoor space this year, but I think that’s changing. Today I’m sharing our summer-ready spaces and easy deck decorating ideas to help you create a space to enjoy the summer season.

I love pops of color outdoors, and you can go brighter than you would indoors, because the color is less noticeable in natural light. This year I added a terracotta/coral accent to my dark blue sandals from last season.

I think the green is what makes the ship’s decorations stand out; and it’s probably easy to add. I love making leafy plants – especially ferns! They add warmth and style to a space. I also added flower pots, but we won’t enjoy them until the end of the season, as the ferns will be very interesting all season.
