It took a few tries to get the cone shape I wanted…a tight end at the bottom and a rounded opening at the top.
Once I picked it up, I was a paper shredder! (I watched “Emily in Paris” while grinding!)
Add a touch of hot glue to seal the cone. I tried scotch tape but they were open. Go for the glue!
Starting at the bottom of the cardboard heart, glue each corner to the center and tip opening. Continue gluing the corners around the perimeter of the heart.
5 Quick And Easy Border Design Ideas
Make a border around the cardboard with the cone openings facing up, then angle them as needed. Don’t worry about the gap between the bottoms of the cones…they will eventually cover up.
As you add layers and try to fit them all together, you will find it necessary to glue the corners in a more straight position… and then the corners are too long!
It reminds me of a museum sculpture, a beehive, a box of chocolates…all in a paper corn heart!
If you want to make someone feel special this Valentine’s Day, try making them a Valentine’s heart. You can make a heartwarming gift that will put a smile on anyone’s face!
