Dining Room Cabinet Decorating Ideas – Who doesn’t really need storage these days? Well, I’m sad that my kitchen isn’t there. So I stepped back and wondered if my dining room could handle this many calories. I didn’t think the result was good.

I used ALL the upper cabinets so there was only about 12 inches of space. I originally ordered all my tops from a home improvement website and I think it only cost $55 to ship. Everything in my closets is $1, 100 ish.

First thing… remove the boards. This is my first time doing this so it took longer than I should have. I ended up using a multi-tool to help me get started and then into the corners. I used a multi tool on the back because I didn’t need it but I thought about putting the sides back in.

Next I built the base using 2×4’s to make the cabinets look better and slightly off the floor. I just made this skid with a wall and 11 inches deep to give me a place to kick my toe.

Look at how the cabinet hangs…that’s what you’re looking for. After that just make your nails and screw the base to the wall. Yessss progress

Now it’s time for the cabinets (the fun part). I put everything first and then I started at the end and worked my way down. Hold it against the wall and the cabinet next to it.

A few inches more, and so I could make the cabinets go all the way to the wall and there was no room I added 2 × 1 pine on each side of the middle cabinet.

Next I just stacked the boxes on top of each other. Make sure they are attached to the side wall, back wall and each other.

Next is to build the side panels. You can also buy it at Home Depot. I also have a board that works on everything so I use my circular saw to cut it out and use instant glue and a nail gun.

I finally got the shelf frames but I’m thinking of making them out of wood. I went to three different quartz sites and went with the lowest price (around $900).

Once the cabinets are ready you can start applying the trim and paint (I also waited until the top so as not to damage the paint). If you drop the ship it will take a trim.

I still build everything easily and use all my goto products. Primer, Benjamin Moore Advance Paint (off white) and use a cardboard foam roller. If you have never painted cabinets before you should check out my blog post above.

I cut my trim at a 45 degree angle where the sides meet and just nailed the bottom part. Mix everything together at the end to make it perfect.

I will add another blogpost about adding shiplap to make it last. But everyone looks great!

Elegant Dining Rooms: Refining An Existing Space

Stay tuned for a blog post on how to build a floating shelf. Below is the finished product, I couldn’t have liked the product better.

Mom of two monsters wants five minutes of free time to do work See other posts I started a little “project” above my China Dining Room shortly after we moved into this house in November. We have a very high ceiling here, and I love it, but sometimes things get lost. Trust me, these pieces are big (this one is 7 1/2 feet long) but there is still some distance between the ceiling and the top of this cabinet. And now 3/4 of a year later, another jeweler is coming on board to help fill this void.

Like most jobs now, my husband needs help with the stairs to get things done. I’ve been decluttering, and up until a few weeks ago, most of my “good stuff” was in big boxes in storage. But I was really depressed over the weekend because I was tired of seeing this place neglected and “out of balance”. The cabinet does not have a flat surface, so it is very difficult to arrange, and the elements do not move and do not twist.

I went about mixing materials, color and texture, using wood, baskets, flowers and metals. I wanted to have a seamless collection of similar materials and styles, which would give a beautiful French country feel. I kept my two wooden boxes of wine and lavender. Next, I used an old basket with stems and a mix of dried and faux hydrangeas. Then, to add a little height and some texture I left the bare metal light in between the rest.

The photo below is from January. See what I mean? I had one of two flashlights, and I thought that was a good start…but there was nothing else I could do there, and it was very difficult for me to get down. so…I had to wait for inspiration to strike It’s not uncommon for a client to call to review an existing site. This time the client wanted to keep most of their dining room furniture, including their chandelier and seagrass rug, but give the room a modern look. In addition, there are many collections of silver and glass and luckily, there are many storage areas and shelves. We end up planning what should stay or go to make it manageable—and beautiful. Here are some previous photos of this place.

This was originally a client’s sunroom which he converted into a dining room a few years ago. High ceilings and large windows create a very light and airy space.

Originally, there was an indoor grill in this area, which the customer removed and placed on carts for storage. The granite marble top is a relic he found, but it’s not crazy.

You will notice that everything in the house is brown and gold and looks old. I decided to think of a nature themed wallpaper wall, showing her love for the outdoors and painted the other walls, a large built-in closet, and her little mother’s closet to complement it.

Living & Dining Room Cabinets

Knowing the customer’s love for nature, I thought she would like this Cole & Son paper, and she did. Because of this, it was decided to go with the neutral color palette of the dining room and use accent colors of blue and gold in the artwork. We used Benjamin Moore’s Wind’s Breath on some of the walls and ceiling, and Benjamin Moore’s Stone Hearth on the cabinets and chest of drawers. The crown molding was painted in Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. We also painted the living room walls and decided on complementary colors to create a visual line between the two rooms!

Looking into the dining room from the living room, there are shelves and cabinets painted in Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. We curated a client’s silver collection to highlight their favorite pieces. The dining room is just beautiful.

Here’s a closer look. Look for beautiful tiger print counters, vintage silver trays and intricate designs at Juliska’s Jardin du Monde. It’s classic and modern at the same time.

Once in the dining room, we took a closer look at the Cole & Son wallpaper on the wall. We also replaced the client’s wooden chairs with raised French chairs to soften the space. French country side chairs in modern, neutral glass reflect the client’s passion for combining tradition and innovation. These side chairs are from Berkshire Home and Antiques and go well with the client’s lamp. Reception chairs and lounge chairs are Home Furniture staples, and we’ve created accent pillows with Fabricut fabric.

Dining Room Storage With Stock Cabinets

Who doesn’t love setting the table? We used Juliska Jardin du Monde and wicker furniture and flatware from Ballard Design and Belgian linen rugs and modern rings from Micheal Aram. There are also antique glass and silverware. Beautiful green hydrangeas from the Boston Flower Market. We planned it carefully, and it took several days!

I had so much fun replacing the cabinets with Stone Hearth by Benjamin Moore! We replaced the marble with a beautiful custom walnut counter to warm up the space. We repaired the customer’s glass, glass and recreational equipment.

A client painted her mother’s closet in Ben Moore Stone Hearth and it turned out great! We chose to place an interesting statue of Mercury from his collection in the cabinet. The title of a
