Door Decorating Ideas Book Theme – Welcome back to a small series of classroom portals and bulletin boards with the occasional showcase and mural thrown in. These beauties are from my day in Taylor, Michigan.

How great is this “fill in the details” idea for Teacher Appreciation Week? There was a big bucket at the door of their master’s hall. Here’s a close up of a few drops filling the bucket. Words of thanks. Words of appreciation. Words of thanks. LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV it!!

The trick to visiting the Author-Illustrator school and getting material for such a blog is to have three things: a few minutes between presentation programs, enough memory card space and enough battery power for on a camera!!! Each time the stars are colored and voila!

Unique Teacher Appreciation Door Ideas

Look over my shoulder as I hit the halls of Blair Moody Elementary. Get this beauty supply! In graphic design it’s always ‘simple’ that wins in my book. I want to mention it for the compliment! C lassroom D oor D ecoration A ward: CDDA finalist indeed!! AWESOME!!

Now look at the walls around this brightly decorated door. It’s a whole parade of Lorax characters walking among the truffle trees! Talk about that book of life! As an author-illustrator, it’s rewarding to see this kind of attention to detail for any author’s work! Yes teachers! Yes school!!! Shake the fireworks for this one man!

How big is this second? This is the first “building” bulletin board observed that celebrates writing throughout the building! Kudos! Five stars! They are big and small all over the place! This is LUV!!

Now a little machine time: talking about filling your bucket……I have two previous posts that include these visuals. Here is a bulletin board from my two day residency at Clyde OH’s Street Elementary. Of course I LUV every one of my invitation schools, but if it’s my third or fourth visit in a decade, I might be a little biased.
