This craft is easier with thicker paper. Working with thinner papers requires some Mod Podge experience. If you want to use these, it may make more sense to use tissue paper decoupage (which works on paper like wood).

If you place Mod Podge paper over a thinner laptop cover, you may see the cover warp slightly due to the moisture of the Mod Podge. After decoupaging the paper, you can weight the notebooks down with something heavy (like a book or a heavy pot) while the paper dries.

Some washi tapes are stickier than others. If you find that it won’t stick to the binding, you can Mod Podge it.
