I wanted to improve my character design and drawing skills, so I decided to do a series of small illustrations with a few characters and no particular theme. Here are the last 5.
I feel I need to improve on character design. I need more faces, not just the kids, although I love to draw them, they are very interesting. I want to draw more mature, female and male characters, I also want to finish the work earlier, so faster. I did not choose a specific theme for this project, each illustration is independent.

I use Photoshop for this project and all my work. I work with Photoshop CC and a Wacom Bamboo tablet. I do everything digitally from sketch. First, I draw a general sketch, without color, with the characters and the background to create the image. Then I usually color the characters, in this case the children. I draw flat colors with one texture brush to see the palette and make changes as needed. The lines are made with another texture brush and finally I put shadows and some details like eyes.
To create the background, I chose one basic color and experimented with texture. I didn’t focus on the background in this project, I wanted to keep it simple.
Well, I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting much attention on this project
