Grand Design 5th Wheel Front Living Room – We bought the Perfect full time Rig! If you’ve been following us for a while, you might be saying “omg they have another new intern??” Yes, yes. We sold Class A a few months ago because we didn’t know what we were going for. We hammered the idea of looking at houses but with such interest rates, and still don’t know where to live.
Looking at the fifth lead toys we were between 376TH and 395MS. They are children’s toy haulers but have a very different size garage, living room and storage.
Grand Design 5th Wheel Front Living Room
The Grand Design Momentum 395 is laid out like a traditional toy hauler where you have a smaller living room/kitchen and a large storage room in the back. We love this layout idea because you can use the garage as a deck and sit outside to watch the sunset, drink coffee, etc. The main reason we don’t like this layout is because you lose a lot of space and the camper just doesn’t feel very homey.

The Grand Design Momentum 376Th is, in my opinion, the best toy carrier out there. The interior is laid out like a fifth wheel without a toy. However, you will not lose a large kitchen, living room and bedroom. Instead of a toy hauler attached to the living room, it’s actually under the bedroom with its own access through the back of the garage.
So why did we go with the 376TH? Like I said above, it’s the best of both worlds. You get the main layout and still have a garage for all your toys.
Obviously, the toy carrier area isn’t as big as a traditional toy carrier, but it’s just the right size for what you need. 9.25 feet long, 5.25 feet wide and 5.5 feet high. Plenty of room for 2 dirt bikes, 2 surfboards, 2 surfboards, all gear and James’ sports gear.
My favorite part of this camper is the kitchen. I love to cook and prepare meals so I have a spacious kitchen with plenty of counter space. Not to mention this full size trailer with 3 burners and a built in microwave convection oven. You also get tons of storage! You get two different pantries for dry goods. One pantry/closet has a washer and dryer connection if you want to add one.

This layout also comes with a kitchen table and 4 chairs. We weren’t fans of a regular chair so we decided to add a dinette bench seat to one side. For us, the bench simply makes it more convenient and more comfortable to sit and eat or work at the kitchen table.
The living room is super comfortable in this great design momentum. You have 2 sofas that are queen sleepers and 2 lounge chairs. The armchair is heated and has a massage that makes it a favorite chair for places of entertainment. In front of the living room you have a TV, a fireplace, a stereo system and a storage room.
The living room offers plenty of room to sleep up to 4 people if you keep two seats. We will be full time in this trailer and will be working remotely so we decided to take out one of the couches and put it in a dedicated study instead. (see how to make a table here)
Like the other trailers, the luxurious design has made this bedroom extremely spacious with lots of wardrobes and storage. We came with a queen trailer but you can request this layout with a king size bed. Remember that if you get a king size bed, you will not have space on either side of the bed, which will make the bedroom smaller.
