Design Project Ideas For High School Students

In preparation for mock interviews, senior graphic design students were asked to present their final portfolios of class projects, including their personal identity packages. They were required to complete videos and presentations on each project prior to the interviews to help them focus the discussion as well as submit final feedback, reflecting their established goals from the beginning of the semester. These documents were developed as a CxC workbook, focusing on written communication skills.

During mock interviews, students are required to show paper samples of hand-drawn compositions for books, brochures and packaging. Students had to demonstrate their ability to complete a large project from start to finish. The Communication Across the Arts Curriculum + studio team helped provide and set up the equipment needed to record student interviews so students and teachers could then review and critique student performance.
