Recently, I challenged myself to come up with 10 more lunchbox ideas: two weeks of school lunches. You can mix and match main dishes and sides to create a lunch that works for you and your family. Today I’m going to share a simple idea. and good for these health To help you freshen up your back-to-school lunch packing routine!
I love getting my kids involved in organizing their own lunches. Even from a young age, kids can help plan what to buy each week. Choose food at the grocery store and pack their own lunchboxes. Having your kids help in the process will teach them about making healthy food choices. And it makes them more likely to eat lunch at school.
For children as well as adults Food presentation is very important. If your child opens the lunch box and the lunch looks beautiful. They are more likely to eat it. I try to include a variety of colorful foods in my kids’ lunches every day. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables are both good for the body and visually appealing.
The lunchbox you use also plays a role in its presentation. I like to use bento containers. Because when children My open lunch They will see the food as whole and ready to eat. These types of containers also help avoid plastic bag waste and make packing lunches more fun!

Here’s the box I used to pack all of the lunches you see in this post (I have two different styles of 3-part containers- here second type) and also 1, 2, 4 and 5 section containers.
I like the 3-compartment containers for small children. (Great for preschool lunches) and kids who don’t eat large meals at school. (My 3rd grader falls into this category.) When you pack a good balance of protein, fruit/veggies, and carbs, the 3-compartment containers hold just the right amount of food. I also like that they are free-flowing. Allow additional room in a larger lunchbox. So you can keep your drinks or snacks handy during your break. You can see what I mean in this picture:
LunchBots containers are not leakproof. So if you want to pack something like a yogurt container. It’s also nice to have space in a larger lunchbox.
At the start of this academic year I will have a 3rd grader, a toddler, and a preschooler. (And there’s a new kid who arrived shortly after school!) Our kindergarten is half day. My son will be able to eat lunch at home. But I plan to make his lunch while packing my daughter’s and keep it in the refrigerator until dinnertime. I pack one for my toddler both when she’s home and when she’s at school. This way I only have to make lunch once a day.
