I know, this may seem a bit harsh to me, but if you recycle the greeting cards you buy, you can contribute to the environment to some extent. Everyone joins the “green” movement and even just recycles a greeting card and in turn helps the world become a greener planet by turning trash into treasure.
Another way to recycle cards is to reuse the cards I buy. I use my die cuts to cut out pieces of the original cards and make new cards. If the sentiment from the original card is still usable, I add it to my new card as well.
But if you’re like me and love making cards just for fun, please follow me in my corner of the world; I run this website for handmade Christmas cards, homemade Valentine’s cards, and fun cards to make. Birthday card.

This week I continued with my typically creative Steampunk Safari Paper collection, but used gorgeous floral elements in beautiful fall colours. I made flowers using book paper and glassine and also found some metal butterflies to add. I love these number dies from Uniquely Creative that I cut from rose gold card stock. Finished with sequins and a touch of Liquitex iridescent media. It’s been a pretty cold and wet week here so a lot of crafting has been done and I’ve been trying out some new ideas to get the most out of my ink pads. I’ll be posting them on my Instagram helengreco30 account this week. Until next time, stay safe…
Something a little different for me this week… Uniquely Creative’s new paper collection is called Steampunk Safari and although I love the steampunk look, my cardmaking style is actually too neat for that, but I gave it a try! I think the tips are too much screw! Uniquely Creative’s die cutting tricks are also great and I will be using them a lot. I’ll be making more cards from this series next week and showing them to you, but these will be back in my comfort zone! In the meantime, stay safe until next time…
