Before we begin, for those of you who don’t know what Canva is, here’s a quick explanation for you.

Canva is an easy-to-use drag-and-drop design tool that allows anyone to create stunning designs without the need for design knowledge or experience.
Canva is a freemium tool, so you can use most of it for free and download an unlimited number of free designs.
However, there are some features that you can only use if you pay for a Canva Pro subscription (or try their free 30-day trial).
When it comes to creating a logo in Canva, the easiest way is to start with a template.

Canva currently has around 1,400 logo templates that you can use as a starting point for your logo design.
When it comes to finding templates, you have a few options from the Canva home page, you can just search for “logo” in the search bar (or make your search more specific, like “beauty logo”):

Doing so will take you directly to the Canva editor, where you can browse or search for a specific niche and select a logo template from the Templates tab on the left:

One thing to note is that if you have a free Canva account, the above methods of finding and choosing a logo template mean that you can download a logo with a maximum size of 500px x 500px.
You can also resize your designs with Canva Pro, but if you plan to stick with the free Canva and want a larger logo design, here’s what you need to do:
From the Canva home page, click the Design button at the top right, click Custom Size, and enter the dimensions you want your logo to be (for example, 2000px x 2000px):
After clicking the “Create New Design” button, you will be brought to an editor where you can search and find the logo template you like. Your logo design will be available to download in the sizes of your choice (for free):

One thing to note is that not all templates on Canva are free (don’t worry, there are still plenty of free templates!).
Some logo templates contain Canva Pro design elements and can only be used with a Canva Pro subscription.
You can be sure which templates are completely free to use by hovering over the template icon, and if the tag “FREE” appears above the template icon, you know it’s 100% free to use:
If you hover over a logo template and the “FREE” tag isn’t visible, you know it contains Canva Pro elements.

You can add templates to your Favorites folder to browse your logo template options, save your favorites, and go to your Favorites folder to choose which one you want to use later.
To add templates to your Favorites folder, hover over the template thumbnail, click the three dots, and select Add to Favorites:
To go to the “Likes” folder, go to “Folders” in the left menu and go to the “Likes” folder:
Resizing and repositioning design elements is very easy. You just need to select the items you want to change and click and drag them around on the canvas.

As you move an object around Canva shows how it fits with other elements in the design, so it’s easy to make sure everything is aligned and in the right place:
As for resizing, all you have to do is click on the object you want to resize and click and drag the cursor to make it bigger or smaller:
To see the customization options for a specific design element, all you have to do is click on the item you want to change and the customization options will appear in the top editor bar.
From the toolbar, you can change the text’s font, size, color, and make general text adjustments, such as changing it to bold or italic, underline, and uppercase or lowercase.

Note: Some fonts are exclusive to Canva Pro users, so you can’t use them unless you have a free Canva account.

If you want to remove a text item from your design, select the item and click the delete button, or click the folder icon at the top right of the toolbar.
When it comes to graphic elements for logo design, Canva has a few options for you.
When you select a drawing element, there are always the following options in the toolbar – the ability to change colors, crop the drawing or translate it:
You can change or add additional graphics to your design by going to the Elements tab and searching for the graphics that match what you’re looking for.

Deleting items is similar to deleting text, you simply select the item you want to delete and click the delete button or click the trash can icon.
Another thing to note about graphics in Canva is that, like fonts, not all are available to free users.
If you see a crown icon on the drawing, you know it’s for Canva Pro users only. So if you don’t plan to upgrade, you can just use free logo design elements:

A useful feature that simplifies the branding process in Canva is the “Grouping” feature.
Elements can be grouped together, making it easy to move or resize them, while keeping them all aligned and balanced.
To group items, simply select the ones you want to group together (you can double-click items to select them at once), then click the Group button on the toolbar:
Other customization options that come in handy when creating logos in Canva include adding transparency and changing the position (or order) of design elements.

With a free Canva account, your options when it comes to downloading logo designs are limited.
As you can see in the image above, some options are enabled for Canva Pro users, such as the option to download designs with a physical background.
Ideally, your logo design will have a clear background version that can easily be added to different designs and platforms.

How To Make Transparent Logo In Canva For Free?
Upload your logo design, select the Magic Wand button, click the logo background, then click Remove Pixels from the menu on the right:
The background should be removed, but you may need to repeat this process several times to get all the background pieces.
