Introduction To Canva

What I’ve noticed is that the designs that get the most retweets, shares and likes have one thing in common:

My friends were a huge game changer for me and pushed forward with the graphic design for my brand. These days, Canva is now my go-to branding tool + resource I use every day for graphic and visual design.

However, I also know from spending thousands (thousands) in the past that you want to be very intentional about where you invest money in your business.

Earlier this year, Hubspot published an article armed with statistics about the importance of visual design. I felt compelled to share this statistic with you to emphasize the importance of using visuals in your marketing:

I will admit that I definitely noticed an increase in engagement and shares when I shared posts with graphics over posts without.

One of the questions I get all the time from peers and entrepreneurs I meet online is:

When I call them Canva, they fall to the ground! But it’s true! I use Canva to design all the graphics I use for my brand, e.g.

Remember when I mentioned before that I spend hours creating brand images for blog posts? Soooo, I figured out how to create a brand image in Canva and use it over and over again for future images.

For every blog post I write, I include a lead magnet or some kind of incentive at the end of the posts. If you’re wondering what I used to create these gifts, it’s not just my friends Canva.

When I first started working with my good friend Shannon from InkPensnCoffeecups, we wanted to create some promotional and marketing items to get the word out about the 31 Day PRO Launch Challenge.

Have you ever wondered how to remove the background from an image without an Adobe account? You can do it in Canva, which means you don’t have to bother your designers or finish the job in Photoshop. 🙌

How To Design In Every Language At Once

Simply drop your image into Canva, click “edit image” and click “remove background” on the left.

If that doesn’t remove the background as neatly as you’d like, there’s an “off” and “reset” function that will allow you to edit manually.

When you download projects from Canva, you have the option to make your background transparent. This is perfect if you have a lot of space that you don’t want to see. Just go to share > download > and check the “transparent background” option.

Many brands have their own fonts. If you can’t find yours on Canva, add your brand by going to the “brand kit” on the home page. You can choose to upload the font in OTF, TTF and WOFF formats.
