How To Design Character Outfits – Hello, my name is Anayansi, and today I’m going to give you a quick tutorial on how to make a good fashion model and makeup style!

As artists, we all face problems/failures from time to time when it comes to the art process. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced designer, designing the right clothes for your original designs is an important skill to learn and use. Style design, which will also be called character style in this guide, reflects a person’s character, personality, and can be a useful story aid when correct handling. While each person is different, here are some general things I’ve learned not only from research and studies, but from years of trial and error in my career.

Symbols have existed in all societies since their inception and have evolved with individuals. Beliefs, politics, religion, location and local culture determine who wears what. Therefore, before you start designing clothes for your people, it is important to consider the following things:

As you ask yourself these and similar questions, we can continue to build a mental picture of the kind of character we want to be. In this guide, I will focus mainly on Western culture, especially in the United States. But you can use some of them for your work and culture where you want to fit!

Planning ahead is important so that we know exactly what kind of clothes to choose or style according to our personality. But before someone wears a piece of clothing, they have to decide why they are wearing it, where will they wear it and how long will they wear the garment? Designing a person’s ensemble can also include hair, makeup, and accessories.

But first we have to decide who we are going to make the clothes. Back to the first part, what do you mean? Take my ex Lydia for example:

Lydia is a twenty-year-old woman who loves bright colors and is not afraid to use clothes to enhance her image. She is a feminist and likes to bend expectations to what she sees fit, especially when it comes to culture. She often uses bold details such as a pair of shoes or a large necklace. Her style is sensual yet elegant and she loves to mix the old with the new!

I recently visited the store to shoot specifically for this tutorial to give real examples of mixing and matching clothes to create new looks for your photo.

The image will help to see how clothes cover our personality. Folding can also help us see how we can make a fabric, or allow us to see how parts will look before making them. a final decision in the design process.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I’ve decided to draw Lydia in an outfit that is sweet and elegant, maybe for a night out or dinner. I will focus on how color can also affect the mood of an outfit and how it relates to personality.

Learning colors can seem intimidating at first, but the more you experiment and learn which colors go well with each other, the more This is how creative you can be with your designs. Let’s look at the color wheel:

Hue is the actual color we can physically see, and there are twelve colors on the standard color wheel. All other known colors can be described as derivatives of these twelve colors.

The value (lightness and darkness) indicates whether the color is dull or bright, and can be changed by adding white or black.

2.) Complementary – colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel; cloth: purple and yellow, green and red, red-orange and blue-green, etc.

3.) Split-Complementary – A basic two-color split between the complementary colors red, yellow-green and blue-green.

4.) Triangles – The colors are chosen based on the triangular space on the color wheel such as: red, yellow, blue or green, purple, orange.

5.) Rectangular – Colors are chosen based on a model on the color wheel, such as: blue-violet, red-violet, yellow-orange, yellow-green.

6.) Monochromatic – Any single color is chosen and mixed with white and black to achieve different levels of saturation.

7.) Square – All four areas are equally available on the color wheel such as: Violet, Blue Green, Yellow, Red Orange.

It’s good to think about the beauty of the clothes you’re designing, but if it interferes with the first definition of your character or personality, you have to explain the decisions you made to your audience.

(That is, a person who usually wears muted colors, starts wearing white colors to show that someone likes them.)

I started by writing Lydia’s graduation. If you have trouble drawing freehand, you can use a 3D image from the Clip Studio Paint 3D asset library. If there are no assets you like in the library, try to find ones that match your needs in the Clip Studio Asset Store.

For variation, I double the fold and place it evenly on the same canvas. Each croc will change a certain element of the garment, be it color, style or fabric.

The clothes usually have a top, bottom and shoes, but can be changed if needed. Since my story involves people living in the real world, I was looking for something you would see someone wearing on the street.

As soon as I draw the clothes, I color them in, making sure I only use each color once or twice in the clothes. Going back to the first part of the color tutorial, I make sure the color palettes for each outfit match and I try not to. more than five colors at a time so the dress is not too busy. Since these dresses are related to Valentine’s Day, a lot of red and red colors are used.

For my reasons, I chose an outfit that best suited my needs for a Valentine’s night date. The puffer jacket helps Lydia stay warm while still looking cute. The black dress is fierce but still beautiful. Assuming she’s going on a date, open heels are the best. She’s wearing a dark brown necklace, although it’s not popular, it’s a nice touch considering I don’t want to compete for attention with the jacket. If an extra layer of warmth is needed, Lydia can wear navy knits with her ensemble.
