Ideas For Small Bathroom Remodeling – It might just be a small bathroom downstairs, but it’s actually the bathroom our family uses the most. It’s the only bathroom downstairs, so we’re in and out of it all day. It didn’t match the rest of the living space and when my husband says the room is a hot mess – you know it’s time for an update.

When I started, I didn’t know what my plan was. I just knew the feeling of wanting space. Comfortable yet elegant. Fresh, bright and attractive.

Why are there 3 random pieces of wood on the wall, you ask? It doesn’t make sense. Somehow I thought this was a good use of scrap wood about 5 years ago. It just stayed there.

I started with new paint – Simply White – Benjamin Moore. This move alone completely transformed the room.

I went with a mix of matte black and brass for the fixtures and fittings. Although I really wanted to go for a brass faucet, I settled on black. Looking at other gold faucets, they seem to show smudges and fingerprints easily. No matter how many times we use that sink a day, the last thing I want to think about is a dirty faucet.

I couldn’t stay away from gold, I mixed it all up and I have to say I like it better than if it was one color. And the vanity lighting is a fun, modern touch.

The compartment is durable with soft-close doors and is fully assembled in this brilliant light gray color. I ordered the counter separately and I like it. This is a gray vanity white quartz.

One day I decided to add a half wall to this, I feel it was a great decision, it completely connected the space. This not only makes the room more comfortable, but also turns a boring wall into a small feature.

I could spend time in this room now because I love it so much. I bond with everything I use, including the rug, which has become my favorite rug of all time.

Place the storage vertically to make the most of your small bathroom. Skip the wicker laundry basket or the upright toilet paper holder. Try to leave the floor space as open as possible and install floating shelves, cabinets and containers that go up. In a small bathroom, we like to use the vertical space for towels, toiletries, skin care and other essentials. Raised storage not only keeps tabs at eye level, but also creates the impression of more space.

Adding more mirrors is a famous interior design “trick” to create the illusion of space. But it is important to consider what you want to portray. Adding a full-length mirror can make a small bathroom look overcrowded, and facing the toilet can make for awkward eye contact. A large but deliberately placed second mirror reflects light and visually expands the bathroom. A mirrored cabinet or backsplash is another great way to achieve this effect.

To get the most out of your bathroom renovation, choose larger tiles to create the illusion of a larger space. Larger format tiles also mean fewer grout lines, which helps the bathroom feel less cluttered. Choosing neutral colors or small patterns for your bathroom tile will give you a permanent look – no more remodeling anytime soon!

One of the most effective designs for renovating a small bathroom is a pocket door. If the bathroom is tight, a traditional swing can destroy your functional space. Consider installing a pocket door that slides into the wall when not in use. Pocket doors are a great addition to a small bathroom as they maximize the available space while adding a modern and elegant vibe to your daily routine.
