Interior Design Living Room And Dining Room – When designing our dining room, we wanted to choose a modern, contemporary style with clean, simple accents.

When looking at furniture, we focused on minimalist dining room furniture that is not bulky and does not visually take up too much space.

Although our dining table is quite large and can accommodate 8-10 people, it does not eat up space and still feels open and airy.

One of our favorite pieces of furniture in our home, this portico dining table has a stainless steel base for cabinets and countertops.

Since we regularly have guests at our table, we wanted to accommodate as many people as possible and chose one that could accommodate 8-10 people. For comparison, our table measures 78 inches W x 42 inches D. x 29 inches high

Walnut countertops are stunning, but even with a little intensive maintenance, they require good care to keep them looking their best.

How Do You Decorate A Dining Room That Doubles As A Living Room?

For our table in the living room and dining room, we chose ivory Hirsch chairs with metal legs.

These chairs have a very elegant and slim frame, which saves a lot of space, especially when trying to fit as many people as possible at the table!

Since the dining room is open to the living room, we decided not to use the rug in the dining room because the rug would be a bit too close to the rug in the living room.

For the dining room decor, we chose a simple round mirror hanging on the wall around the table.

How To Style & Layout An Open Plan Living Dining Room Combo

We love and recommend the Infinity Mirror line from CB2! We have a 48-inch infinity edge mirror that perfectly anchors our modern dining room.

It is available in 24, 36 and 48 inch sizes and has an ultra-thin 1-inch deep aluminum frame.

We were very impressed with how good it is for the price, and the mirror image never wobbles, which is something I always look for when purchasing mirrors.

We’ve had a rectangular infinity mirror in our powder room for four years now and so far we love it – we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a modern, minimalist mirror with a narrow frame!

Small Dining Rooms That Save Up On Space

Our dining room is definitely a statement piece and elevates the entire look of the space! We don’t have the exact design anymore, but this group pendant light is a great option from Wayfair!

It is also available in a long black and stainless steel version. We used floral foam to hold the liquid in place and finished it with white accent stones for a complete look.

Overall, the design of our dining room is very simple and there is not much to it. The round glass helps reflect light since there are no windows in the dining room. Walnut wood brings a wonderful warmth to the space, and elegant, modern dining room furniture makes the dining room feel open and airy.
