Journal Book Design Ideas – Today, I want to show you how to create a newsletter. When we were apart, I read a lot and since I love novels, I thought it would be fun to combine the two and make a special novel. Here’s what you’ll need to get started if you want to make your own.

Journal Book Design Ideas
This step is optional, but I like to create a title page at the beginning of each journal. Having a title page means I can quickly open any magazine and see what year it’s for. To make the numbers, I draw a small outline in pencil, then use the reference punch of my two brush pencils to draw paper shapes to fill in the numbers. The two pen colors I used were 025, 817, 606, 526, and 379. Of course, if you don’t want to put the date on your title page, you can draw a collection of papers, write your name, or anything. more makes up your mind.

Next, you have to decide what type of content you want to include in your newsletter. Want to track how many books you’ve read in a year, what genres you read most, favorite authors, star ratings? I’ve chosen to follow the books I’ve read by way of a list of sorts and a preview.
I kept the form list simple and used a MONO drawing pencil and ruler to create a table to hold all the information. I used two brush pencils and a MONO drawing pencil for the names on each page. (Please, I’m terrible at spelling, not really my forte).
You can be as broad or specific as you want in style. For example, you might have only one ad for fiction and one page for non-fiction. Or you can share non-fiction stories into memoirs, DIY, biographies, etc.
In itself, it can be interesting to visually see the books you are reading, whether it is a picture or an example like the tracker below. You can get real interest in your book code according to your level, or their type! Here I used two brush pencils and a MONO drawing pencil to create this little storage space for my book.
Scrapbooking Journal Ideas
It’s totally optional, but I like to add tabs so I can jump to certain parts of my journal. You can buy sticker tabs, or make cute ones from paper or card and add them to your MONO dots, or you can cut them directly from the page like I did, and use two colored brush pencils. This works best on notebooks with thick, thick paper. If you leave spaces around the edges of your pages, you can delete them, leaving tabs for writing. I usually put all my notes in the front of the journal so I don’t have to cut out any pages in the notebook to create tabs.
After I established all of my followers for the year, I set up my first monthly ad. I keep a color theme for each month to bring out the imagination in it. I knew that if I didn’t make it easy for myself, I wouldn’t stick with it. So for January, I’m using kraft paper, MONO Dots glue to stick things on, black ink (Mono Drawing Pen) and some embellishments with washi tape and a gold gel pen.
I also stick to my January TBR (To Be Read) list of all the books I would like to read during the month.

September, for me, is usually a back-to-school month, even if I’m not in school for, like…let’s say, a year.

I have to say, it’s not my favorite subject, so I’m a little disappointed with the result, but when I sit down to create a subject – I can thank you guys for coming up with something interesting. Play! I feel full and happy with my setup.

I like to keep things small and simple, so I doodled this little book in the middle of the page.

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted in terms of fonts, but in the end, I decided to go with these fun fonts.
They’re easy to make too, as you’ll see in my Plan With Me video. Start by drawing block letters with a pen and as you color, edit a little.
I like it to be fun and cheerful, like the books I had in mind when I created this theme.
I managed to decorate it like crazy but also left enough room for everything I wanted.
