Letter Design Ideas Drawing Easy – Today is the first day of week three and boy has it been interesting so far (besides one toddler throwing up on my new carpet today)!
As many of you know, I started at a new school this year – so I had to start over with the art program! I’m not sure why I expected them to charge me extra to start with accessories (scissors, lines, etc.) … cauuuuseee they didn’t. In fact, every art teacher in the district lost $50 from our client’s budget! :/

$400 for 1200 kids? It’s wonderful. Luckily for me, I have a really great manager who sympathizes with my position.
36 Cute Things To Draw
So when the first day rolled around and I still didn’t have my town’s money, I had to rely on my wallet for supplies. I bought some stationery, paints, colored pencils and markers and started thinking about the lesson.
After much thought, I settled on “Creative Letter Pictures” for grade 1 (a lesson I learned from my lead teacher while teaching the students).
I started by reading Louise Loves Art by Kelly Light. The book is about a little girl who creates her greatest work (a painting of a cat), but then her younger brother breaks it up and turns it into something else (her greatest work). Then we talked about the idea of taking something and turning it into something else.
That’s when I told the students that I would give them a letter of the alphabet and it was up to them to turn it into something else (I suggested an animal).
How To Make Old Letter Scroll Design
When the students finished their work.. I gave them an “Alphabet Challenge”. They received a sheet of paper with all the letters of the alphabet and were asked to add as many creative pictures as possible to the letters at the end of the lesson.

Ideas I can use for my BuJo or for photo quotes, greeting cards, note cards, hanging designs, monograms and more.
Earlier today – about 5 hours ago during my time in England. I started watching AmandaRachLee’s YouTube videos and liked some of the ideas there.
So I thought I’d create a handwritten idea sheet to add to the visual directory/dictionary. This page is the result. I have numbered the comments/choices that refer to the notes below.
45 Small Quick Doodles To Draw When Bored
However, I’ll start with the last example first! When I finished the paper, I realized that I had not included examples of my original manuscript.
42 – My lowercase letters show how I want to make the same letters. This gives the letters a nice and strange feeling.
44 – Sometimes I change the way I arrange some letters, whether I think it’s a good choice or not.
What I got was my only manuscript. I don’t want to be like everyone else, even if I want to change my style to suit different needs. That means I need a bank of ideas on how I can do this.
Abundant Gratitude” Hand-lettered Thank You Card Tutorial
That’s a lot! Believe it or not, handwriting is easier said than done.
Of course I could start a YouTube channel myself and show how to do it… I’ll think about it. Anyway, I hope my fact sheet and words inspire you. I think I managed to cram a lot into the A4 dot sheet! Writing is a direct message, but so is painting – a work of art itself.
My current goal is to learn kawaii drawing, but I know I will do more handwriting and add letters to my kawaii designs :).

In my previous post, I looked at successful examples of hand lettering and shared a book called The Complete Guide to Hand Lettering that I found very helpful in learning.
This week I will use mypen’s ability to handwrite three popular fonts: sans serif (retro style), script and slab serif.
But first I need to learn basic typography. I won’t include them here because they are well defined and clear in this article from Canva School of Design.
The first free font is called Park Lane from the DaFont website. It seems to have started with a simple sans serif font. Note the very low A bar and the very high E, F, and H bars.

To draw this font, I used a black SakuraGraphic pencil, size 1. It’s very thick to make strong, smooth lines. Sometimes I read the papers several times to correct them, but the idea is to complete the paper in one pass.
This font is from Valerie McKeehans book The Complete Book of Grandfather Fonts. I don’t know what the font is (if any), but it’s repetitive in its design. It looks really good, especially with effects like drop shadows or double strokes.
The key to a font is to make the strokes bold while keeping the strokes and ends thin.
This is a slab serif font called Rockwell. This font is strong and stable, easy on the eyes.
Hand Lettering Design: 40 Stunning Examples To Inspire You—and Tips From A Designer
To make this font, I used black Sakura Graphic pencils, sizes 1, 2, 3. I first drew it with a round pencil size 1, and then I drew it with a thicker size 2 and 3, which shaped like a chisel.
Alas, it’s time to stop copying and start designing! A scary prospect but a must ;). I decided that at this point I had enough theory to create my own paper design. What do you think?
Full disclosure: I personally own and use all of these. If you buy something through my link, Amazon will pay me a small commission (at no cost to you – thanks!). But if you shop elsewhere often, that’s fine too. How to make a beautiful letter

I will also add you to the list of future lessons. Don’t need them? No problem! Unsubscribe anytime 🙂 Below you will find easy instructions for drawing bubbles and bubble paper coloring pages.
Most students learn how to make bubble letters by tracing wooden letters, but this tutorial takes a different approach. Tracing often creates many straight lines with curved ends, which does not give the letters the appearance of a wide balloon. A better way I would say is to skip the stick letters and just jump in and start drawing extra fat. It only takes a few steps and of course nothing will be deleted afterwards. Make them pop even more by adding some drop shadows and highlights.
Bubble letters are basically letterforms where the letters look like bubbles – hence the name. They are a great first paper project for students who just want to make words in a fun and easy way. The random round shape is very forgiving, so it’s easy to leave comments that should fit in that order.
(one of the architectural elements). It gives the letters a little more definition and contrast instead of bright white.
